The betting markets have also flipped and Harris is now the clear favorite there as well."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. I tend to agree. Unless there is some event outside the candidate's control (war between Israel and Iran, stock market plunges, gas prices, inflation tending upwards, ect), Trump has an uphill battle he isn't wired to fight.Originally posted by BlueK View Post
A lot can happen but is Trump disciplined enough to focus on anything that will resonate outside of the MAGA base? I think it's unlikely.

I don't think polls matter until Harris actually engages. If she does well in the debate(s?), a few press conferences or hostile interviews then Trump is essentially cooked.Originally posted by USUC View Post

I hear by propose a ban on politicans dumping trillions of dollars into the economy and then getting mad at businesses that increase prices in response to increased cost and demand.Originally posted by USUC View Post"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Here is an interesting article on Project 2025 and British journalists getting one of its authors to talk about it.
Vought, one of the key authors of Project 2025,a right-wing blueprint for a second Trump term, expected the meeting would help his think tank secure asubstantial contribution. For nearly two hours, he talked candidly about his behind-the-scenes work to prepare policy for former President Donald Trump, his expansive views on presidential power, his plans to restrict pornography and immigration, and his complaints that the GOP was too focused on “religious liberty” instead of “Christian nation-ism.

So despite Trump publicly denouncing Project 2025, people keep talking about it as if they are his policy team? I tend to agree with Jonathan Swain; if you want to know what Trump will do in a second term, go to his website or listen to his speeches. He’s fairly transparent. There’s no reason to couch this as some secret policy team for him when his crazy ideas are published and endorsed by him on his own website."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. If it comes down to choosing between our founding fathers idea of religious liberty compared to the Christian nationalism concept of the government sponsoring their religion over all others, I'm going with the former.Originally posted by tooblue View Post

More of the same sh*t from the Harris/Biden administration... Grandpa Joe already said he wanted to impose rent control. Now Harris wants to do the same on food. Ask Venezuela and the former Soviet Union how that worked out for them...Originally posted by USUC View Post
