Unfortunately, real life keeps getting in the way. If the teams aren't ready to go by then, I would say everyone just start doing whatever it is that you do on Sept 1, and we'll apply miles to teams as soon as they are decided.

Fair enough. I didn't mean to seem ungrateful to those who are organizing it. I'm just excited to get going!

Well, due to some unforeseen busy schedules this weekend, Steelblue and I weren't able to get the draft done like we had hoped. We are planning to take care of it tomorrow (Monday) evening (AFTER FHE, you judgemental jerks) and get the final team rosters to TDB and BBB as soon as possible.

When they decide to start and what the exact rules will be is up to the organizers. But the teams should be put together by the 1st as planned (Pacific Stardard Time; sorry we'll be late to those of you EST or beyond).

I am in, and my sentiments are the same as Coach M's....past performance is not a guarantee of future results! I'm out to do much much better this time around, as I'm also in a similar program with family member up to Christmas.

This could be the biggest boon to my personal health since forever!

Can I put in my vote to count trail miles and road miles on a mountain bike differently? As in, 2:1 trail and 3:1 road?

I think it's clear it should have been a 3.5:1 road bike, 3:1 mt bike on the road and 2:1 mt bike on the dirt.

Crazy talk. That'd leave the cyclists only five miles behind in the final tally of the current challenge.

Moved upon by the spirit, or at least A spirit, I went back and discovered that on Sundays throughout the contest (THE SABBATH!), the runners have amassed approximately 65 miles more than have the righteous cyclists.

Now we've discussed this, and activities that result in heavy perspiration are not meet for a proper Sabbath observance, and a price must be paid here. Accordingly, in addition to eliminating said 65-mile Sunday surplus, I propose that an additional treble damages penalty be assessed. This reduces the runners' total to 2,749, and the cyclists now lead by ten miles with only a half day to go. Blessed are they who do not sweat of their own accord on Sunday.

That is the big advantage of being apostate, 7 days to contribute....the captains of the RATT challenge shoudl take notice.
