That's like telling a kid you have candy in the cupboard but don't eat it. Just give it to the kid when you plan to.

Wait a minute. They made a bunch of changes, but we won't see them until temples reopen? That is quite a tease.

We're going back to face veils, however both men and women will wear them. The design will prevent the breath of life from escaping by covering the mouth and nose.

                      • No speculation, just hope here. 40 minute sessions, so you can be in an out in an hour. Improved social distancing (no handshakes).

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                          • New updates are out to the church handbook. https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist...date-july-2020

The list of changes doesn't include anything earth shattering that I could see. I did like this tidbit:

The bishop determines whether there is a need to call counselors for the Sunday School president. The calling of a Sunday School secretary has been included as an option for large wards.
Yay! Hopefully more Bishops quit calling Sunday School counselors. It's a useless anachronistic calling.

                            And also this one:

The position of Sunday School class president has been removed.
Another useless anachronistic calling in most circumstances. This kind of calling can be useful for those that have physical or mental challenges but still need a calling. Just because it's no longer an official calling doesn't mean the Bishop can't make it a custom calling or assignment.

                              • Also, word on the street is that some temples in Utah will be approved to start doing living endowment ordinances this coming month. Maybe this should go in the coronavirus thread.
