Maybe. One definition of distinct species is inability to interbreed with a related species and generate reproductive offspring. By that definition, Neanderthals were not a different species. Would love to hear woot's thoughts on this. I love the image of Levin sharing his CK space with his own Neanderthal ancestors.

I also love the idea of Neanderthal Gods ruling their own planets. Maybe that's what's wrong with our planet.

In My fathers house there are many mansions.

I won't speak for Levin, but in the CK you get many mansions I am happy to share with any Neanderthal ancestors. I'd also be happy to share with you if you are repainting or remodeling a kitchen in your mansions. I wouldn't even invite Bednar over for a BBQ while you were staying.

Did you ever see Encino Man? I'd think twice about sharing a house with a cave man.

Bravo. Fantastic post. There you have it. Clothing = soul.

If only a person could only imagine seeing a non-fig-leafed australopithecine love, cry, mourn, pray, or look heavenward.

I get that it's funny to consider apes or these other species as non-human, but in reality many of the things that make us human (in terms of a so-called soul) are shared with them even though they looked very different.

If a person truly values humility then they won't consider themselves to be inherently emotionally superior or better than our closest relatives.

I think you missed the point of that movie, maybe you should rewatch it.

Encino Man has been the movie script of my life for the past several years.

Well said. You forgot to mention that in contrast to Jesus, Nephi and Lehi quite obviously are strictly literary characters (as conclusively established per my undisputed post of last week).

Microwaving frozen burritos can be hard, maybe try them in your new smoker win-win.

                          • I should say that despite all my criticism of Mormonism, I acknowledge the inspiring power of Mormonism and Harry Potter. It is truly inspiring how Cassidy Stay and her family use parable and fantasy for good.

One could view Joseph Smith as a JK Rowling of sorts.
