I knew the year rule on excommunication but I guess I sort of assumed a US-court type of appeals process.

Some Dr.s manage to outstrip the prefix.

Thank you for clearing up a misconception I had. I thought she was your typical pain in the ass lawyer looking for something to advocate or argue about.

I will at least look at her from now on in a different light even if I still don't agree with her.

Maybe y'all should come back so you can say the excommunication of Kate Kelly was a factor for your leaving.

Just curious and of course if it is none of my business, it is none of my business.

Do you attend a church you are comfortable with or just handling that aspect on your own? If I changed I think I would become Catholic. I don't think there are attendance requirements to be considered active.

Wait, it's trailblazing to leave the church over women's issues in 2014? Don't tell Sonya Johnson, she'll be pissed.

The only thing new about this is the amount of media and social networking available now.

I remember back in the 80's a friend telling me about a women in his ward who was very active in a group demanding the Priesthood.

We only have half a million employees in my company, and I would never get an audience with our CEO. I've been on conference calls with VP's 2-3 clicks down from her, but she's got a pretty tight circle. She's got teams of lawyers and VP's to handle and delegate the dirty work. That's the way large organizations work. I wouldn't expect the Church to act any differently.

I know that what I perceive or believe can be wrong. When I think I could be out to lunch, I check with the feelings of others. I asked 3 other's in the office if we decided to push one of our complaints and demand to see the CEO, do they think we would eventually get to talk to him. Their answers were all basically the same. Surely you jest.

This isn't a knock on my company. It is extremely well run and ranked extremely high in their industry.

I talk to my CEO two or three times a week. Sure, we only have about 25k employees, but he would give anyone in the company an audience. I've been in companies like yours and others like my current. I don't think there is a hard and fast rule. I also work with some very large companies. I've spoken with several different company CEO's while supporting their business. Lots of CEO's like to play by their own rules and try to cultivate a culture of employee engagement.
