Men are choosing punography over marriage. Before you click back and ignore this post, note that this is not the vacuous, fear-mongering drivel FTND generally spews. This is science and facts. Well, maybe not science and facts, but there's a possible correlation in a study, and that leads to some undeniable, theoretical, factual possibilities. Take a look:
Why are the researchers so sure that increased porn use leads to decreased married men? Dr. Malcolm said it is likely tied to the relationship between marriage and sexual gratification. If porn is being used for sexual gratification, then it is undercutting the need for marriage to serve that function.
Woah.
Did you catch what that is saying? Read it again: If porn is being used for sexual gratification, then it is undercutting the need for marriage to serve that function. Translation: a lot of guys are thinking (some maybe only subconsciously) why enter into a loving, committed relationship, with real intimacy, when I can get that from my laptop?
I, for one, am glad this article does not assume that unmarried men are getting the sexual gratification they could get through marriage by, I dunno, having sex with women to whom they are not married. After all, anyone who has sex outside of marriage is likely addicted to porn, so that only strengthens the point. Amrite?
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
If porn is being used for sexual gratification, ...
I'm curious, only in the academic sense of course, what other uses porn may have. To vex one's spouse? To gain insights into the human condition? To improve one's cinematographic skills?

Research. I laugh at people who think BYU isn't a research institution.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
If she's truly benevolent, she will continue to wear the leggings. Most men enjoy the lustful feelings the leggings create. It's a small minority that feel uncomfortable and have a negative reaction to those feelings. They're spoiling it for the rest of us.
If it is difficult for my husband who loves, honors, and respects me to keep his eyes focused ahead, then how much more difficult could it be for a man that may not have the same self-control?
Everyone is wearing yoga pants these days. By not wearing them, she's going stand out and draw more attention to her body. More of us weak-minded men are going to end up sinning.
Thanks a lot, Veronica.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
"You are an intemperate, unscientific poster who makes light of very serious matters.”

Guys have it easy these days. Girls wearing leggings and yoga pants is "what you see is what you get" at its best. They don't have to use their imagination to figure out if its worth more attention or not. Come to think of it, if more girls wore leggins in my teens and early 20s (90s, the era of over-sized and ill-fitting attire), I probably would have spent much less time staring and thinking about it and could have just gone on with my day much quicker.
