tbh I didnt really think I did or didnt come up with it. It was just a phonetic sort of thing. I once had an actual conversation with someone from the board, who shall not be named, and they referred to you as "fall a fell" and I said that it is like the veggie balls, more like fall awful. Ever since then whenever I see your name I think of that exchange.

Really? Certainly it's frequently unpleasant, but when I'm feeling bummed about my occupational lot in life I remind myself that, given my modest physical and intellectual gifts (my childhood goal was to play third base for the Giants, and then I thought I'd opt for the U.S. Presidency), there probably isn't a better job that provides such a great combination of time flexibility, income, intellectual stimulation, interesting and/or smart clients, etc. I don't always love my job and I occasionally wonder if I did the right thing by applying to law school instead of med school, but no real regrets, even though I do envy CardiacCoug.

Most Humanities professors are single introverts who can perform in order find employment to thereby facilitate their love of cats/dogs and books and coffee and people leaving them the <redacted> alone the rest of their lives.
