First of all, stop being ridiculous. The vast majority of the OW protesters were too lazy and too stoned to be any kind of serious threat.

Second, you are doing the appeal-to-hypocrisy response that is meaningless and annoying. Who cares if your liberal friends were less upset with the OW protesters? The world is inconsistent. Get used to it.

At least it seems this is a peaceful protest: http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/orego...b0b958f65be382

Some local residents feared the Saturday rally would involve more than speeches, flags and marching. But the only real additions to that list seemed to be songs, flowers and pennies.
As marchers reached the courthouse, they tossed hundreds of pennies at the locked door. Their message: civilians were buying back their government. After the march passed, two girls swooped in to scavenge the pennies.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I for one am grateful that the protesters are sufficiently armed to maintain the safety of their peaceful protest.

How about municipal buildings, like the city hall for a major city. Does that count as much as ranger shack in the middle of nowhere?

Do people really forget what happened in Oakland?
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

A sign of a true patriot. Willing to die in order to maintain the peace. We should be supporting their cause!

Longing for martyrdom is bad enough, but when that martyrdom will become a footnote to a footnote in some book titled One Lump or Two?: The Tea Party in 21st-Century America, you almost feel bad for the person, especially if we consider that he might be mentally ill.

Apart from the truth that the world is unfair, it seems like there is a lot of similarity to the Ferguson protestors or the black lives matter protestors. Loud mouths, threats of violence, intruding on the peace, self interest which may or may not be justified, etc.

Btw I disagree that it is meaningless to point out inconsistencies. While the world is unfair, public policy shouldn't be especially as it pertains to governing speech and protest. It can be very useful to understand similarities between actions all along the political spectrum so we can assess whether policy is being applied fairly and properly.

You know what else that time and this time have in common? I was having a discussion with someone else and you interjected and got bent out of shape. So much for your resolution.
