Saw that they created a federal way mission. Crazy.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Yep. The Brethren have just given up on Texas and Europe. That's probably the only thing the two places have in common.
      Not that, sickos.

It's because BigPiney baptized everyone there.

Super soaking everyone he saw does not equate to baptism...

Oh, and my nephew just opened his call yesterday - going to one in Mexico that starts with "X" that must have already existed.

              Does your mission still exist?

wow, Coban gets its own mission. That takes the most scenic parts away from the City North mission. Hopefully they had to take Baja Verapaz along with it.

Canada Winnipeg is still standing but they did give Thunder Bay, Ont to the Minneapolis mission a few years ago. This did eliminate the possibility of a 975 mile transfer from Prince Albert, SK to Thunder Bay.

Canada Vanvouver looks to still be intact from when I was there in the early 90's. A transfer from Vancouver to the furthest city, Prince Rupert was also over 900 miles.

Australia Sydney North went away not long after I left. It was one of the 58 "new" missions announced.

I was called to the North, but actually spent about 17 months of my time in Australia living and covering areas in the South mission..

Did I miss a merger somewhere?

I was under the impression there were now 3 missions in Spain: Malaga, Madrid and one up north.

I knew that Canary Islands had been consolidated along with one of the northern missions.

And no new missions in Western Europe. It looks as if, officially, hope has been lost and the Continent has been abandoned.

Doing a little digging, I am quite positive that Spain-Malaga still exists.

It was Bibao and Las Palmas that were dissolved/absorbed.

Ribeirão Prêto is still there, but in an ever shrinking form. I am assuming that the creation of new missions in Piracicaba and Juiz de Fora will again shrink Ribeirão's borders.

The state of São Paulo will have 8 missions soon. Ribeirão Prêto used to be a pretty large mission, but has shrunk considerably.

It was a long time ago; Wooster is where I spent most of my childhood. Most of the time, the area didn't have missionaries as it was a small branch with no building. The few times we did get missionaries assigned they were invited often to our home and were like rock stars in my mind. I collected their AOF cards (asked them to sign them) and remembered many of their names well into my teenage years after my family moved from Ohio.

During my BYU years, I was visiting a ward during FT meeting and a 30-something father bore his testimony and mentioned serving in Ohio and I recognized him. Even better, he remembered me when I talked to him after the meeting.

Anyway, I thought it would be cool if I had your signed AOF card somewhere in a shoebox in my attic.
