Well, the Japan Fukuoka mission still exists. There were 10 missions in Japan when I was there. How many are there now?

The Italy Rome mission is still alive and well. I don't see it ever changing names (boundaries have changed a couple times). Hail Ceasar!

What once was 5 missions covering parts of France is now 2. My and Solon's (Marseille) got swallowed up, first by Toulouse and now exists as Lyon.

The Italy Catania Mission was dissolved in 2010 and absorbed into the Italy Rome Mission. It was another thing that happened that I wished would have happened while I was there, but nooooo, I was there from 83-85.

if you are signed in, you can turn different boundaries on and off: wards, stakes, missions, areas

Oops. Just saw the list that you are referring to. The TSM is back in action!

This "new 58 mission" thing is getting a lot of play in the social network world. Lots of faith being promoted today. I wonder what would happen if the church decided to cut the number of missionaries per mission in half, thus doubling the amount of missions? Would we be translated ala the City of Enoch?

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. Great Lakes, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana. Ohio was broken into it's own mission while I was in Cincinnatti. Later the Akron Zone was split and I became the first ever Cleveland, Ohio Zone Leader. They took the District which was 10 Elders and shipped in 14 more and made it a 24 man Zone.

Did I do a good job? Heck I don't know, but there is now a Cleveland, Ohio Mission.
Did you ever serve in Wooster, Ohio?

You're going to get splinters on that fence, Moliere.

England London South is still rockin'!

And, as a bonus, my hometown got it's very own mission: Twin Falls Idaho Mission!

Pretty awesome to grow up in a town with 20,000 people, and in my lifetime, see it grow to plant a temple in it's front yard and snatch a mission of it's very own.
