No, but I was the DL in Canton. Alliance and Massilon were in the District.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostDid you ever serve in Wooster, Ohio?
I recognized the name immediately so don't know if it was part of the District with no Elders in the city or it was just the next District and in the Zone.
That was a long time ago.

Yeah, but it's a lot smaller now. I went to Washington Seattle. At the time western Washington had Seattle and Tacoma. Now, if I'm not mistaken there's Everett, Seattle, Tacoma, and now Federal Way and Vancouver (I assume a big chunk of that will be in Oregon).Last edited by venkman; 02-22-2013, 04:59 PM."Remember to double tap"

Montreal, Canada. Looks like it still includes Ottawa but Kingston and Smiths Falls look like they are now in the Toronto Mission. Fortunately it still includes all of Hudson Bay."You interns are like swallows. You shit all over my patients for six weeks and then fly off."

I haven't kept track; how many are there now? Six?
Bummer, just lost our Bishop.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Looks like all of Argentina is the same as when I left 15+ years ago. I didn't realize that the southern-most part of the country is part of the Buenos Aires North mission. Must be because air travel from Buenos Aires is more economical there than land travel from the Neuquén mission."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

People are moving out of Fairfield that is why they are asking for six man football to come to Idaho. I hope our local SChool sticks with 8. In middle of TimBukTwo nearest town 40 miles away and don't want to play football with Wood River. Good snowmobiling, Skiing and Summer Rec if you don't want Sun Valley crowd in Fairfield though.
Florida Tampa still exists Orlando divided after I left. Garth Hall president there. No more changes there. Elder Cleveland gets three years of no sleep now. My old sp is finishing tenure down in Arizona as MP too. Bruce Summerhays mp of my mission. Golfer extrordinare. TWin Falls own mission now.

So I just went and looked at the new announced missions, which include two new ones for Argentina. One, the Posadas mission, looks to be in the north cutting into the Resistencia mission. The Comodoro Rivadavia mission looks to be south of Neuquén. Looks like they'll no longer be part of the Buenos Aires North mission.
I doubt these changes will carry any ramifications for Cuyo."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

Wow. And to think my little brother just got home from the Merida Mission about seven months ago. He did serve a good portion of his time in Cancun.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostWas just reading through the new mission announcements, and Cancun is now its own mission. When I served in the Mexico Merida mission, it took in the three states of the Yucatan Peninsula (Yucatan, Campeche, Quintana Roo).
I'm assuming the new Cancun mission constitutes just the state of Quintana Roo as there's nothing geographically to add to it in the surrounding area. Cool that there's a new mission on the peninsula, but I'm actually a bit sad my mission no longer exists as I knew it.
I'm sure for some of the old timers their missions look nothing like they did at the time.

No new missions in Texas... I guess we all are a lost cause.Originally posted by Moliere View PostThis "new 58 mission" thing is getting a lot of play in the social network world. Lots of faith being promoted today. I wonder what would happen if the church decided to cut the number of missionaries per mission in half, thus doubling the amount of missions? Would we be translated ala the City of Enoch?

Kobe was closed and then reopened, and is currently open - I spent half my mission in what became the Osaka missionOriginally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThe Osaka mission is long gone. I may be small, but I'm slow.
A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."
