Moroni was killed when four Lamanites jumped him. He fought off the first three, but the fourth one got him.

Dang it. I knew we shouldn't have stopped at Three Nephites.

It was actually six Lamanites, but Moroni was taken out after the fourth consecutive mortal combat match.

At a meeting at Spanish Fork, Utah Co., in the winter of 1896, Brother Higginson stated in my presence that Thomas B. Marsh told him that the Prophet Joseph Smith told him (Thomas B. Marsh, he being then President of the Twelve), that he became very anxious to know something of the fate of Moroni, and in answer to prayer the Lord gave Joseph a vision, in which appeared a wild country and on the scene was Moroni after whom were six Indians in pursuit; he stopped and one of the Indians stepped forward and measured swords with him. Moroni smote him and he fell dead; another Indian advanced and contended with him; this Indian also fell by his sword; a third Indian then stepped forth and met the same fate; a fourth afterwards contended with him, but in the struggle with the fourth, Moroni, being exhausted, was killed. Thus ended the life of Moroni.
The Lord chose Moroni to complete the Nephite dispensation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He finished his father’s inspired abridgment of the Nephite millennial-long history; he commanded 10,000 soldiers at Cumorah in their final battles with the Lamanites; he abridged the writings of Ether, the record of the Jaredites, a once mighty civilization that preceded his own on this western hemisphere; and he recorded the lengthy writings of the brother of Jared on the gold plates and sealed them up.

Huh. Well, if brother higgenson said that brother marsh said that brother Joseph said so, I guess it must be so.

I'll have to take your word for it.

After reading that, I will forever refer to the state to the south of Nevada as "Arisony."

I learned that seventeen years isn't enough to get over the aversion I have for Christmas hymns after we spent three to four hours a night for weeks singing those hymns in front of Christmas markets when I was on my mission. We were one of the test missions for the pass along cards, and they sent us a gazillion of them with the instruction to just get them out. If success includes handing them to people who promptly threw them in the trash on on the ground, we did really well.
                  Not that, sickos.

Were you in Germany? Love those Christmas Markets.
                    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Austria, and I love them, too. I really want to take my family there for Christmas when my daughter gets older. My wife would love them.

I learned in church yesterday that a family is like a mullet, there is the business part which involves church and chores and a party part that includes vacations and game nights.

I'm inclined to take the word of the guy who spoke about it.
