If you tire of being close to two airports and downtown...and your excellent school district, you can always move back. They have broken ground on a new ward chapel that is more convenient to your old neighborhood. On Stacy road across from the Sonic. Will be different attending church in a new building. As you probably know, the area has grown from 2 wards to 8 wards plus a YSA branch in my time here. Endured four ward changes but have always stayed in the same original building in the area...until doors are opened on the new building. But one thing will be certain, gospel doctrine will be held in the gym in the new building even though there will be a total of four people, including the teachers, attending gospel essentials in the RS room.

If ebola flares up around here again I might have to do that.

I don't know since I don't make the decisions. Generally when the bishop doesn't comply a stake leader shows up to our Ward to make sure things are done properly.

Meh. When they did that sort of stuff we used to just nod and tell them we understood and then do whatever we wanted. If they followed up, which they did sometimes, we would usually say we felt inspired to run things in our ward, over which our bishop has stewardship and keys, in a different way, but thanks for checking.

Stake callings are the worst. I cannot imagine why anybody would want those callings, but I am aware of many members who sought out the prestige of a being a "stake" this or that.

Our Ward's would be Bishop killer is in custody, and church was back to normal today with no guards posted at the doors. However, the former bishop announced that he's moving out of state as a long term preemptive measure. Can't blame him.

My mom told me about a lady who got up today and said that the Church is wrong about polygamy because Brigham Young said we should do it, so we should still live that divine law. Apparently she went on and on about it for a while. All I ever get in my ward are testimonies about scripture reading and prayer. It's like my whole ward has been correlated.

They have stake conference next week, so F&T meeting was bumped. That and the lady went off on polygamy for a 20 minutes. She kept saying that if two witnesses testify, then the principle is true. Apparently she was hoping that someone else would back her up, but sadly, she wasn't able to coax anyone else to take a stand with her.
