That would be possible except he was only held back a few months. But, after every time he would meet with the stake president or his bishop, he said he had the worst feeling ever. Like he'd just committed the worst sin possible. And all because he made out with his girlfriend.

I'm with HFN. I bet there's a little more going on than that.

While talking about fasting in Sunday School, a gentleman relayed that the Rexburg Walmart was one of the last to open for business on Sunday. Apparently, shortly after Sunday shopping became the norm, the building began to experience lots of maintenance problems. He said it showed that even buildings need a day of rest.

Since the topic was fasting, I was a jerk and asked if he was suggesting the building should eat less. He said that's not what he was suggesting.

What about the thousands of missionaries that lie about it? I would think that as far as worthiness goes, they're far worse off because they would have no intention of repenting.

Clearly your friend was treated unjustly.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                  Quite surprising.

I learned that no one in my ward will share any of their nuthouse theories during the "Sign of the Times" GD lesson.

Yesterday for sac meeting our bishop announced that we were going to do something different. People were invited to come up and identify a favorite hymn and explain why it had special meaning for them and then we would sing 1-2 verses from the hymn. Kind of like testimony meeting but with an interesting twist. It was a very nice meeting.

We've done that a couple of times in my ward - the bishop refers to as a Hymn-o-mony mgt

                          I rather enjoy it.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

We used to do it once a year, but it's been a couple of years since the last. I feel the Spirit when it's done, so it must be approved from above.

Any idea if it was planned or if someone just forgot about a speaking assignment?

This kind of meeting is usually great for everyone, except for the organist. We have a couple in our ward who can pull it off, but a couple of the less experienced ones would probably freak out.
