Apparently brother #2 (this one) took it to heart. We know how that turned out.

This is cause mom and dad didn't know how to say penis or vagina without thinking they were breaking some sort of one of grandma's rules. Dad sure was odd. Those statements he used to make were all about self-righteous glorification. It is fitting that he had been married 4 times, or so.

My brazilian music still is awesome. Legiao Urbana is great. I still blast it at 5AM, much to my wife's frustration.

Most mullah? I confessed to my bishop for making out with his daughter. However, I'm still pretty mullah (tie all day on Sunday, etc) because it is just easier to keep the marriage peaceful.

I would go online and debate people wherever I could find someone willing. I even embattled presidents bensons apostate grandson (Steve) and got a few responses. I would go to many different message boards and hang out on farms alot.

as a teenager in a summer camp someone asked me do you really believe all that Mormon stuff and I said no. He asked then why do you follow it. I said because I KNOW it is true.

Hilarious. So what was his reaction?

He just sat there, dumbfounded. He didn't say much. His daughter was pissed at me. Funny thing, her boyfriend was on a mission and he was my best friend. That was a little odd. She started it.

From then on out I always got "the eye".

During a dance in Jr. High, I complained loudly to the principal, teachers and administrators in charge when the DJ played Crazy Train by Ozzy, because it was 'Devil music'. Simultaneously I was thinking, "wow what a great sounding song! "

Quite the cognitive dissonance for a 7th grader.

I went on a date with a non-member friend that I had crushed on throughout high school about 2 weeks after my mission. She ordered a glass of wine and I thought I was being the cool openminded guy by "tolerating" it. I then proceeded to basically teach her the first discussion during dinner conversation thinking I'd heroically convert her.

We ended up watching Chasing Amy after dinner, and I kind of freaked out about it when she asked me what I thought. Needless to say, she never called me again. I really wish I could have that one back for a number of reasons, the first being I freaked out a good friend.

When someone (like me) has no game to begin with, letting them go with regular girls while they're still caught in the post-mission reality distortion field is recipe for disaster.

At 12 years old I confessed to the bishop that I masturbated.

The bishop was my dad. To this day I do not feel comfortable around him because of it.

I remember a horrible one. One of my best friends from high school came home early from the MTC after 9 weeks when his girlfriend announced that she was pregnant. Here is the embarrassing part: In that very difficult time I cut off all contact with him because I didn't want to be seen with a 'sinner' before going into the MTC myself.

I started hanging out with him again about a decade later when he was going through a divorce and trying to raise three kids essentially by himself, plus running his company. It was then that I realized the true meaning of the word 'friendship', and realized just how bad of a friend I had been. We are closer now and I always go to dinner with him when I am in town, but I regret the loss of a decade when he needed my friendship most.

His daughter graduated from BYU last year and is now on a mission. She is an absolute blessing in his life. He obviously is a very good parent and a wonderful person.

Every teenage boy masturbates, right? What's the big deal?

I can think of a whole bunch of things that would be much more humiliating to have to tell one's father about -- that would be way down the list.

I'm glad my reaction was in line with your expectations. You do realize it's hilarious even though, or maybe because, of how uncomfortable that situation is. For you to get offended that I would find that anecdote humorous demonstrates a very low social IQ. If that was an ironic bird, nevermind, but I have a feeling it's not.
