As of around 6pm tonight, there were already 9 cars lined up at the In-N-Out in anticipation of tomorrow's opening.

Here is the thing about Canes. Just buy a bag of Just Bare chicken breasts from Costco and grab a bottle of CFA sauce from a supermarket, pop the chicken in your air fryer, and you have chicken as good or better than the stuff they are slinging.

In-n-out >>>>>>> CanesOriginally posted by BigFatMeanie View PostYeah, Canes is similar to In-N-Out from a "people who rave about it mainly due to nostalgia but it's really nothing special" perspective.
They're both fine/average but Californians was poetic about In-N-Out and people from the midwest/south wax poetic about Canes. Just like people from the east wax poetic about Shake Shack and Utahns wax poetic about Training Table (RIP
) or JCWs or Swig or Cafe Rio, etc.
But none of those places are worth waiting in long lines for.

I remember when Raising Canes opened here in Provo. The lines were insane for weeks. Now I think folks have realized that it is just average chicken strips.Originally posted by Pelado View Post
Yeah, I'm not aching to be in line forever, either. I'm sure I'll go there at some point, but I'll wait until after the novelty has worn off.

Tomorrow is what I heard. I'm going to avoid it for as long as I can due to how crowded it's going to be. My wife and oldest child will force me to relent soon enough.

Speaking of franchises coming to town, In & Out is supposed to be opening up their first Idaho location pretty soon (if they haven't already) in Meridian.

Yep. I am normally skeptical of chains, but JP has a good track record. I'd like to try it sometime.

Always tough to maintain quality when you franchise, but I still like it. I typically get the breakfast tacos, regardless of the time of day.

My lunches are usually boring, but I had one a couple of days ago that was post worthy.
Caribbean jerk chicken skewer with a side of fried plantains from a food truck in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas. I’m going to fondly remember that one for a long time, both for the food and atmosphere.
