We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. • Sounds like I could get away with skipping the mustard coat and the injection. What about the mop? The Consensus is To Mop rather than Not To Mop?

I'm headed to Costco at lunchtime to pick up a couple shoulders. They'll probably go on the grill around midnight. I hope my fellow RVers aren't bothered by the smoke all night.

I've never injected the shoulder, no complaints yet. I've gone slather and no slather, I don't think it makes a huge difference and won't adversely affect your smoke if you skip it.

Mop on the other hand.....get steppin. I use a spray bottle, though. You can definitely taste the flavor in the bark if you are regularly mopping.

I'm temped to drive down to the tailgate lot tonight after date night to check out your rig, maybe sniff your butt. Not THAT, sickos! I'm talking about the aroma of cooking pork!

Do you use the same mop recipe that has been posted in this thread?

I'll leave the light on for you.

I use Jeff Lebowskis mop recipe. The mop doesn't have to be complicated because you already have a bunch of flavor and spices in the rub.

I need to try it again with the spray bottle. I liked the flavor but the mopping process was a pain and it seemed to wash off some of the rub. Spray bottle would be perfect.

Spray bottle it is, starting at 165 degrees, right?
