my default nuke killstreak loadout is harrier+chopper gunner+nuke. i suppose one could use a pavelow, but it's hard enough for me, at least, to get to seven as it is.

Apparently this is only partly true:

"Pave Lows are currently glitched and only count for your killstreak on your first life. If you have died, and then get a Pave Low, it will NOT count for your killstreak"

I will say that I have almost no experience with the Pave Low. I almost never use it as a KS reward. However, the only mention of a patch on the page is referring to a Care Package Pave Low:

In Multiplayer, the Pave Low appears to be glitched. Sometimes Pave Low kills from a killstreak reward does not count against your current killstreak. This can sometimes be redeemed if you get a kill with your weapon after the Pave Low is called in, but before it gets a kill and if you have zero deaths. Also, sometimes Pave Low kills from a Care Package will count towards your killstreak, even if Care Package kills are not supposed to do that. A recent patch was supposed to fix this, but the bug still appears some times.

I don't know how old this section is so I don't know how reliable it is. I am interested in the answer because if the Pave Low did count toward KS rewards, I might use it. If you have recently used the Pave Low and it did not count toward KS rewards, I beleive you over the article.

On a side note, how can you tell what your current KS is in a game? I usually keep track because I have 5, 7, and 11 and it's not too hard to remember. I have thought about changing to 5, 9, 11 and in that case, I would want to know if my KS was 7 or 8 but I could see myself forgetting where I was at.

Does anyone want to comment on the new maps? I played a few of them last night with Coach and Hot Lunch but then I had to shut it down a little early.

I really liked Bailout. Coach said he hated it, but I didn't know if he was just joking since it was brand new (how could you hate something that new?). Salvage was cool too with some nice site lines, etc.

I was a little bummed that 2 of the maps are COD4 maps. They're good maps, but I didn't get the feeling that I was playing anything new. It just felt like I had popped COD4 in the tray. Now if they transported some of the maps from COD5, that would be sweet. Using new weapons on those maps would be cool.

the only way I know to do it is to check the leaderboard in-game. However, if you've got a few deaths mixed in there along the way, it can be confusing.

I was damn close to two nukes last night - kill streaks of 23 and 24. On one of them the game ended, on the other I got unlucky.
