This is the one that I picked up, and I love it. The one problem is when I am watching Little Robin, I get no sound. The breakout box has inputs for a couple of other headsets, but where do you get a cheap headset that can plug into that box?
That's the headset I'm looking to get. I found some pretty decent deals on ebay, somewhere between $80-$100 for open box models. Maybe I'll have to spring for them sometime soon. I just thing the game would be so much more enjoyable with better sound quality than my tv speakers are giving me. Anyone else play with a gaming headset they'd recommend?
I have overgrown figured out. I am not sold on Bailout. I struggled but I think once I figure that map out, I will like it.
PS3 boyz, how are those new maps treating you?
They're giving me an extreme case of jealousy. They look really awesome from the youtube walkthrough that I watched. Hopefully by the end of this month we'll get them.

The cost him $250 though. :yikes: He claims that they made his Trittons seem like he was playing on his tv speakers again. While I consider the $110 I spent on my AX360s some of the best gaming money I've ever spent, I don't think I could ever spend $250 on a headset.

Overgrown Tactics change a lot. There will be a time, coming soon, that you will not want to attempt to cross either bridge for about the first minute of each game. Snipers set up quickly on both sides and get a quick 2-3 kills instantly. I love that map though. So many different ways to play it.
Agreed. I was having a good deal of success at the beginning of one game with the sniper rifle (which I NEVER use) and the Spas. That was the game you heard me laughing on. I killed the same guy four or five times in a row - he'd get tripped up on one claymore, come back to find the claymore in a different spot, avoid them both to find me with my Spas, come to kill me only to find me in a different spot, again with my Spas. It was hilarious. After that he stayed smart and stayed away.

How do you set up the Triton? I had a Turtle Beach and the headset plugged into your controller and a box plugged into the wall outlet and then the back of the TV. As long as you were in a line of sight it worked great.

My understanding is that the trittons are wired, so you plug the headphones into the mixer and the mixer into a wall outlet and into the back of your ps360. They have like a 12 foot cord or something.
edit: I forgot they have a usb cable that plugs into the front of the ps3 for your mic and a cord that plugs into your 360 controller for the same purpose.

That thing's a beast, but I'm with you on the price tag. You could buy a console for the price of the headset. Maybe if I ever make it to the major leagues I'll consider it.
Because I see so many people spectacularly fail at certain things in MW2 recently, I think I'm going to give certain generic tips now and again. Today's tip isWhat to do With and About Air Support
If the other team has air support in the air (pave low, chopper gunner, harriers, cobra, etc.):
1. Do not go outside unless you have cold-blooded on. Just don't. Wait it out if you can.
2. Do not shoot your gun at chopper gunners. That is so stupid. If you do that and I am piloting, I guarantee you are the next person dead, whether or not you have cold-blooded on - unless somebody else has fired a stinger at me. Then I'll get him first.
3. Do have a class just for anti-air. Nothing can turn the tide of battle faster than a chopper gunner or harrier. I have an anti-air class that has my favorite primary weapon, stinger, and cold-blooded. As soon as air support appears, I switch to the anti-air class and when I die, I take it out. Ask Coach and Hot Lunch how fast I get things out of the air. You should try to shoot from corners and places that are controlled by your team if possible - otherwise, you will die.
4. Predator evasion: If you hear a predator, run indoors now unless you have cold-blooded on. If you can't run indoors, run near a wall, box, crate, etc. I have made tons of predators miss me simply because I crouch near walls and boxes - the predator has to hit on your side of the wall or box to kill you. Otherwise, no damage. Last night, one hit literally two feet away from me, but on the other side of a wall (and a half-wall at that). I was fine.
5. Generally, it takes one stinger to bring down a harrier or cobra, and two to bring down a chopper gunner, pave low or AC-130.
If you have air support:
1. Do not use two at the same time. For example, I don't call in my chopper gunner while my harrier is still in the air. This serves three purposes. First, if you have a harrier up taking out people, those are people you can't get with your chopper gunner, making it more difficult to get kills with the latter. Second, if there are people with AA classes, it serves to use up at least some of their stingers. Third, people will come outside to play after the first is down, leaving them exposed for the second.
2. User-controlled air support can get into doorways and has an area effect. So, for example, with a Chopper Gunner, you can fire into the doorway of a building and kill people you don't have direct line of sight for (Highrise is the best example of this, and you see it on scrapyard as well).
3. Look for the guy with the stinger and take him down. Then look for the moron shooting you with the rifle - he'll be really easy to spot. Take him and his buddies down too.
4. On the AC-130, switch between weapons rapidly. That way you are always firing - while the big gun is reloading, you can be firing the medium and small guns. By the time you get back to the big gun, it will be ready for more carnage.
5. Try not to kill yourself with your own airstrikes. I do this a lot if I have Danger Close Pro on.
6. AC-130 is hardest to bring down because it is hard to find it in the sky when you are trying to lock on with a stinger. If the other team is fast about blowing stuff out of the sky, it would serve you well to use the AC-130 instead of the chopper gunner.

Nice work nik. I think the reason so many people try to shoot the choppers down with their guns is that it was a lot easier to do so in cod4. I've never had it work in mw2.

If we are on a map where airsupport is very likely to cause chaos: Afghan, Scrapyard, I play with my antiair class exclusively. That way, I don't have to die before trying to take it down.

I've been playing the past couple of weeks without cold-blooded (hardline pro, danger close pro, stopping power pro) and you can have them. I like danger close pro on a map or two, but I am tired of thermal snipers and air support killing me. Back to cold-blooded it is.

I hate thermal scopes so I have cold-blooded on all but one of my classes.
