So...the losties are numbers? So inputting the numbers in the hatch was actually inputting the names of the survivors over and over and over? Lame. Few questions, Helen in pre flight crash had left Locke, (this is from recollection but I'm pretty certain this was the case) but in no crash world they are together? This is at least the 3rd inconsistency: Shannon not on flight, Desmond on flight, Helen and Locke together.

Fus, relax. There are 15 more episodes, maybe you'll get your answers.Originally posted by fusnik View PostSo...the losties are numbers? Helen and Locke also are inviting Locke's father to the wedding. Obviously there's a lot more different than their airplane simply not crashing.Originally posted by fusnik View PostSo...the losties are numbers? Another great episode last night. The Jacob-Hurley-Jack stuff was great. The Claire stuff not so great. Who's 108? I'm thinking Desmond? I hope it's not someone new.

I'm looking forward to going back and watching all 6 seasons. Remind me, in the plane-still-crashed timeline, Jack knows that Claire is his sister correct? and when did he find that out? was it when the Oceanic 6 go back home and Jack meets Claire's mom?Originally posted by jay santos View PostAnother great episode last night. That was a little fuzzy I thought. She wanted to invite him but Locke wasn't all about it. Maybe Locke has not been completely forthright in that.. I may have to re-watch but that is what I got out of it..Originally posted by jay santos View PostHelen and Locke also are inviting Locke's father to the wedding. Question, why would Jacob have 2 places to keep names? Why would he be crossing off names in the cave and at the lighthouse? I assume the cave is not Jacobs doing. Surprised they are instituting a kid into the series at this point, I don't think it fits. But this last episode was actually decent.

Theories are that the cave is Smokie's place. Lighthouse is Jacob's.Originally posted by fusnik View PostQuestion, why would Jacob have 2 places to keep names? That was great episode. what is going to happen?"Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. It has become apparent that a man can, within limits, follow his inclinations within the arms of the Church if he does so discreetly." - The Walking Drum
"And here’s what life comes down to—not how many years you live, but how many of those years are filled with bullshit that doesn’t amount to anything to satisfy the requirements of some dickhead you’ll never get the pleasure of punching in the face." – Adam Carolla

Finally was able to watch this week's episode. That was a good one. I think this season may be the best season they have had since season 1..

I'm really into it. I think what they're doing with the flash sideways is showing us the the end of the story. The climax will be the event that happens on the island that causes the island not to exist or to sink as shown in the season premiere. The timing on this is long before any of the Losties are born. So whatever they do in the climatic event will cause the island to go back in time and sink.Originally posted by dabrockster View PostFinally was able to watch this week's episode. This means the Losties are born into a world where there is no island, no Jacob, nothing, and their lives go on without being manipulated by Jacob or anything affected by events on the island AND the experiences they had on the island will be retained at a subconscious level and the progress these broken people made on the island will show in their lives. i.e. Locke is more confident, Sayid is not a killer, Jack has faith, Hurley believes he's lucky, etc.
So like Lord of The Rings, you have have a climatic event and the scenes of the aftermath. But in LOTR, the climatic event occurs 45 minutes before the movie ends and you have 45 minutes showing Frodo and the gang's future life. In LOST, you have the climatic event as the very last scene of the season finale, and you have the aftermath shown in clips all through the final season in the form of the flash sideways.

Pretty sure Sayid is still a killer in his sideways flash.Originally posted by jay santos View PostI'm really into it. I was about to post the same thing... Sayid is one where he has gone backwards. I am not sure how it will play out. To me the choices he made on the island coincide with his choices in the real world. He wants to do good, but once again he is lured to do the wrong thing.. Or the Black Smoke is in fact good..Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostPretty sure Sayid is still a killer in his sideways flash.
