It seems like there should be normal people that would want to keep big cats around as long as they can build the proper pen/habitat and take the proper precautions (I personally wouldn't want to ever deal with it). There are obviously a lot of people that want to see them up close.

There is little doubt that Carole Baskin killed her husband and it's likely that her father helped with the murder/cleanup. By saying the woman is clearly a manipulative psychopath is not meant to suggest that I'm on board with the two other main psychos featured on the series. If the 400 some-odd episodes from Forensic Files (one of the most underrated TV shows ever) are any indication, unless someone is already a criminal themselves about 75% of all murders seem to be committed by a member of the victim's family or the victim's boyfriend. She had a huge motive and it seems like the police detective, dead husband's assistant, and dead husband's lawyer, among others, believe she did it. Without a body it's almost impossible to convict someone of murder.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I see the appeal. I would love a bunch of big cat kittens to play with, as I’m sure most normal people would. Maybe the separation point between normal people and crazies is believing they can/should take care of them when they’re full grown.

I've never seen it and almost watched it last night. However, I ended up watching Inception for the first time instead. Blade Runner is up next.

I didn't think this would appeal to me, but we just finished episode 4 (of 7) and we're engrossed. The characters make the cast of The Road Warrior appear mainstream and well-adjusted. Fascinating.

Libetarian politics play a part this series. I have no desire to visit a private zoo.

                      • Tiger King - I repelled at the first minute, and turned away. Are you guys saying it's worth it? Is it painful to watch. I'm trying cut cut down on my anxiety intake.

                              It’s a 7-hr massively gory train wreck.
