  • My daughter and I just watched the first season of a program on Netflix called "Stranger Things." Check it out. Trust me. Very captivating and entertaining.

Sounds interesting. I wonder why Netflix hasn’t promoted it more.

      • Started a new Netflix Original series (done in partnership with BBC) called Requiem. It's a 6 episode season 1 and I'm 2 episodes in. Reminds me of "The Killing" with a supernatural/horror element.

Per my FiL’s telling of the timeline the fear/angst of the group was felt around the state from the moment they settled, but ran often full of poop.

              Definitely some parallels.

Does the documentary show people wearing Oregonians wearing a t-shirt showing a beaded guy in the crosshairs with the tag line “Let’s Bagwan Today”. I remember seeing those around town

                        • We burned through Everything Sucks over the weekend. Sort of a poor man's Freaks and Geeks but set in the 90s. Enjoyable, but a little annoying how hard they're pushing a certain agenda with the main story arc.

Battlefield Earth available on Netflix starting April 1, 2018. Netflix has long had a dearth of movies with John Travolta overacting. It also has a dearth of movies based on books written by cult leaders. It can remedy both with this one.

I watched this. While it was well done, by the end I was left scratching my head, particularly with the psychiatrist's side story. There must be more to it in the book that was cut or doesn't translate well to the show.

With that one movie Netflix has moved from a dearth to a surfeit.
