Has anyone watched Slow Horses (I haven't)?

I've read a few of the books and while they have some flaws I think you could make a good show out of them. I just don't know if this is that show.

Speaking of Slow Horses.....does Severance ever pick up the pace? I'm 4 episodes in, and struggling to not fall asleep, every time I watch it.

Yes, but I never thought of it as particularly slow. There are a lot of shows that are much, much slower in terms of pacing. But you are right about where it starts to pick up anyway.

I felt the same way. It was a bit slow at first but it’s worth it as it picks up and the early stuff is important.

Good call on hanging through the slower first part of the season. The last 2 episodes were great. Though was disappointed to realized it stopped after E9, was expecting a 10th. I'm not a fan of major cliffhangers to end a season. There should obviously be enough loose ends to make you want to watch the next season, but I prefer when each season has some kind of closure. Regardless, fantastic ending.

Dillon is by far my favorite character, followed closely by Mark's BIL. It took half the season to realize that Harmony is Patricia Arquette (Alabama from True Romance was one of my all-time crushes)

Our daughter and SIL turned us on to the animated series Central Park on Apple TV+ and we love it. It is made by the same studio that does Bob's Burgers, but it has kind of a Schmigadoon vibe. Each episode features 3-4 songs and most are good, some are great (Weehawken rap by Helen is awesome). It features an all-star cast, including Daveed Driggs from Hamilton. Highly recommended.

I would have been interested if not for that vibe. A show with great promise in the first few episodes that destroyed itself through the last several episodes.

The missus and I have just started watching the second season, having enjoyed the first season very much. Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb is (not surprisingly) outstanding, one of the most literally and figuratively dyspeptic characters in memory. Kristin Scott is great as Lamb's bete noire within MI5. It's on Apple TV. 97% on RT and 7.9 on IMDB. Tune in for an episode or two and you'll likely be hooked.
