Isn't the Battlefront game exclusive to PS4 or whatever? I don't know a ton about it, so I could be completely wrong on that. I don't currently have anything besides an old original edition Wii that the kids play a few things on. I just don't want to own a PS4 and Xbone

the prior two iterations also take the same approach, mixing post apocalyptic destruction with the idealism and styling of the post World War 2 boom. The soundtracks to these games all have that eerie mix of happy uplifting music in the midst of desolation and nuclear horror. Best tune in all the games is Butcher Pete.

This will be a Christmas gift this year. I am looking forward to it as much as my 12 and 15 year old boys.

SO be honest; what are the odds that an old man like me would enjoy it?

Well, GREAT! I'm in good shape, then. I think Fallout looks amazing. I've played through some of the PC versions of that, but it was years ago.

well if you really dont play any games at all then not sure it is worth trying out simply because you like the music. The game is basically like the commercial....you walk around completing assignments and tasks, looking for items, traveling around from place to place, and shooting things along the way. If that sounds appealing to you, i would say give it a try. Not sure i would encourage a neophyte to buy a console and the disc simply to give it a whirl. I have been in this industry now long enough to know that age is irrelevant.

The Fallout games are somewhat open ended and you can kind of do what you want. There's always assignments and objectives to do, and there's always mutants to kill, but some people just become engrossed in the game. I haven't played the recent versions of it, I played some of the first ones that came out 15 years ago, however.

It isn't just the music, but the juxtaposition of the music and the images. It just seemed interesting. My house already has a couple of consoles, I just never use them. I might have to try it out.

That is a great commercial. Perfect song choice.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

This game ! I'm hooked. This is my first Fallout game and I got it sight unseen based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I didn't even watch the trailer you guys are talking about. Lots of elements you could spend endless time on-- settlement building, missions, armor building, character building, weapon building... they take the level-up addictive stuff to new levels.

More like a sandbox game though, right? No straightforward campaign to win the game or anything?

It's an open world RPG. It will have a main story quest line and all sorts of side stuff. You do what you want.
