i want to see this. looked like it could be good. maybe not.

Also want to see Spectre and im not apologizing for that.

it's good, i just didn't like it that much. really excited for spectre.

I didn't like Steve Jobs but I really liked Steve Jobs. Most of the conversations were imagined (Sculley never met with Jobs after their break-up) but true, I think, to the overall arc of their lives. And although a bit contrived, and often too clever by half, Aaron Sorkin's scripts always entertain me and this was certainly no exception. I always wish I could come up with the one-line parting zingers that he gives his characters. It's all talk, with little action, but the movie is very well-paced and, for me at least an excellent experience. Fassbender, Winslet, Daniels and (yes!) Seth Rogen all turn in fine performances, as does the supporting cast. This movie should get a few Oscar nominations.

As for somebody not in your age category but on the coattails, I remember those who harbored the feelings that nuclear war was imminent. My high school was a bomb shelter for the days when the government designated those spots. I suspect though, it might not resonate as much with Millennials as much.

Btw, I have not reviewed this thread exhaustively, did you do a review of the Martian and would you recommend it?

The Martian - I didn't fall asleep even though parts of it dragged. It was fun and interesting in some parts but then I felt like it skipped over too much. Personally I preferred Castaway more in that I felt Hanks did a much better job in showing the emotional effects of being stranded and possibly dying on the island. Damon does a good job but the script makes him more robotic than I'd have preferred. Not much emotion or feeling on his part. It was worth the $30 (date with MJ) and 2+ hours.

We´ve seen two recently, and recommend them both.

¨The Martian,¨last weekend. We liked it. Matt Damon does a good job and although the movie´s pretty long it didn´t feel that way to me. Moliere is right, this movie is more about ¨How does he survive?¨ than "How does this affect him and his life?"

¨Bridge of Spies,¨ last night. We liked it a lot. Having grown up in the Cold War I found it especially interesting, even though I was too young at the time to remember any of the events. There was some moral relativism that popped out here and there. Still, a great story, well told.

I second PAC's opinion of Steve Jobs. Wholeheartedly. As Mrs. NWC and I walked into the theater with our iPhones and Watches, we wondered if we were going to watch a hagiography of Jobs. The first few minutes dispelled that notion. Excellent acting and a very good script. Centering his life around Job's product releases was genius. And yeah, some of the dialogue was contrived and I assume a lot of it never happened, but I certainly believed it could have happened that way.

I am a fan of Danny Boyle. I think this might be his best film yet.

"Bridge of Spies" was one of the better movies we've seen in a long while. The character development of the protagonist, the depiction of the times, the concerns of the attorney as well as what the social sentiments were at the time seemed very authentic. Some of the little details such as climbing over the walls made it tighter than I would have expected.

Watched a small little documentary on HBO called "Learning to Dance in Ohio." About high functioning autism spectrum teens addressing their worst fears about social interaction and attending a formal dance.
I was struck by the fact that when all the kids in the Center have some degree of asperger's, they all seem utterly normal.

Really enjoyed it. Benecio Del Toro was fantastic.

Music in the background really created great atmosphere.

I was about to post that I saw Sicario last week. There were some awesome tense moments, but I'm not sure the movie had a point other than some foggy commentary about the U.S.' approach to the war on drugs.

I had a lot of questions. For one, I don't recall seeing any beheaded bodies casually suspended from any overpasses last time I was in Juarez. I'm also confused about why Phoenix Homicide would take over a case where bodies are found in Chandler rather than Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

One thing the movie did confirm is that John Bernthal will probably make a kickass Punisher this upcoming season on Daredevil.
