Two films that are in my top 10 of all time, or pretty close maybe top 10 for Punch Drunk Love and top 20 for Adaptation.

I had seen each only once years back. Saw them on Netflix instant and decided it was time to revisit. Wtf happened to Nicolas Cage? Dang he's so good in Adaptation. And such an incredible turn for Sandler in Punch-Drunk.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

      • Has anyone seen Spider-man yet? They did a midnight shows but I haven't really heard much of anything. I assumed that the majority of my office would have attended last night in full gear but it turns out that nobody went.

I was tempted to go last night as I have no life, but I was hanging out w my cousin and he nixed the idea. Maybe I'll go tonight.

Yes! Two adds to my Netflix Instant Queue!
            I haven't seen either one.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

              Cool!

There was some other good stuff I had seen a while back and threw on there to revisit, but now I can't remember what. One of them was Y Tu Mama Tambien (), but now I can't recall the others. I'll check them out when I get home.

              • Stop-Loss was on FX over the weekend so I recorded it and watched it. It was alright. Hard to get past Ryan Philippe's horrible Texas accent.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

My daughter returned home at 3 am and gave it two thumbs up.

                  • Hard to get past Ryan Phillipe's accent in any movie. Horrible horrible. As bad as his ex wife's chin profile.

A little additional feature on the DVD that you won't get on Netflix:

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Add Leaving Las Vegas to great performances by Nic Cage.

And I'm intrigued by Sandler in Punch. It's interesting to see great serious performances by comedians, who when acting in comedy can be horrible: Sandler in Punch, Jim Carey in Eternal Sunshine, Robin Williams in Good Will or What Dreams May Come (I'm a sucker for that one). All brilliant performances.

I watched that over and over. That's how easy I am.
