That's what I thought. I went to Kauai on my honeymoon and stayed at the Kauai Beach Club, but we went to Poipu a few times. I'm sure I wouldn't have recognized the shot except for the fact that we have some pictures that were taken on that exact same part of the path at about the exact same time of day. The units are much better in Poipu, but I prefer the centrality of Lihue/Kapaa.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Didn't fuji film focus on bringing out greens, while kodak the oranges? or was that just colors of the packaging?Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostNo, but the picture is approximating Fujian.
OK, enough of my lame attempt at humor. Fuji film was known for its color saturation. I'd rather be known as Fujian than Nikonian.

I remembered that Kodak film was supposed to be warmer overall, and Fuji more saturated. But hey, now that I think of it, maybe the idea with the packaging colors is right!Originally posted by BigPiney View PostDidn't fuji film focus on bringing out greens, while kodak the oranges? or was that just colors of the packaging?"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Yes, I know about Fuji wet. Sorry for busting your chops. My photog guru Ken Rockwell waxes rhapsodic about Fuji Velvia 50. Some day I'd like to shoot on this stuff, if I had but time and patience and a Tachihara 4x5.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostNo, but the picture is approximating Fujian.

I've only ever had point and shoots but my wife would really like a better camera (me too, of course)...

A friend of mine took this today. I want to be there so badly right now.

Wuap, the colors in your photos are so typically nikonian.
I have a bunch of my photos on pinterest. When someone repins my photos, I get an email informing me. I never would have guessed that these would be the most-repinned photos. I think that subject has a lot to do with it.

Super impressive Mrs. Pac. I've tried (unsuccessfully) to get a nice motion picture, like #2. Night photography like the bridge is incredibly hard- too long of exposure and you lose the dark background, too short of exposure and the lights on the bridge won't pop. Was she in a lighted area? The moorings really stand out.

She's not around to comment, but I know some of the shots had exposures of 2 minutes or more.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostSuper impressive Mrs. Pac.
