Yeah he does kind of come across like that. He's a great foil for O'Brien's shtick.

Asking for a friend, but what pre-menoposaual symptoms are we taking about?

Oy vey the temperature regulation! She normally runs cold but the last few months she's been all over the place! Covers off, covers on. Blast the A/C, bring me a blanket.

I didn't sign up for this.

My wife got thrust into it when she was only 41 with her pseudo cancer. Hormones have helped some.

Ha, I’m not looking forward to that.

You also did sign up for it. Just like student loans, you knew when you put a ring on it that this day of reckoning was coming. It’s here and you have to start paying principal and interest.

You have any left over pills you'd consider illegally selling?

              • Isn't NWC a doctor or doctor-adjacent? I thought docs traded in after 15-20 years to avoid this precise scenario!

When it comes to prescribing medication, being a pathologist is sort of doctor-adjacent. I think I could prescribe with my license, but I think I'd have to get a DEA number, some extra training, or a combination of things I don't want to do. I'd rather just commit a felony having BP ship unused estrogen across the state line.

Stay tuned about the trading in. I'm not sure I can deal with this for much longer.

                  • Vertigo is of the devil.

7 hours this morning of hell. For some reason I do respond to the epley maneuver.

I feel you, man. It's the worst. I had a random bout of vertigo (my first and hopefully only) a little over a year ago. It was awful. Only time in my life where it still felt like the world was spinning even with my eyes closed. I legitimately was curled up in a ball on my stomach with my face buried in a pillow-- the only position where it felt like my world wasn't spinning and I didn't feel an immediate need to vomit. I was this way for about 12 hours before I was able to do the Epley without vomiting.

All because I tamped my pillow down with my head and somehow dislodged one or more of those darn crystals.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

It has been a year since my last episode. But that was while on vacation in Switzerland. I threw up 20+ times dying on the chalet floor crawling to the toilet because I couldn't walk.

Meanwhile my kids had an epic day at the resort we were staying at. I still have no idea what brought it on. I had just got back from an amazing run in the hills with all the milk cows and I grabbed some breakfast and then I was, "nope". And I was down for the day.

CrowdStrike could have a European-size data problem on its hands

One estimate puts the cost of the outage at trillions of dollars. Even now, after the company pushed out an update to fix the problem, CrowdStrike is far from being out of the woods.

Alongside the inevitable class action lawsuits CrowdStrike will likely face in the United States for the disruption its erroneous update caused, it could be on the hook in the U.K. and Europe for potential breaches of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which imposes limits on how companies can collect data without user consent. Fines under the GDPR can be up to 4% of a company’s global revenue.

I'm just wondering when everything gets back to normal. We flew Delta back to Utah on Saturday. Very glad this didn't bite us.
