I keep waiting for the big reveal that Ozempic and similar drugs destroy your heart or your bowels or your pancreas or something.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

there is a part of me that feels the same, the other part of me thinks that to the extent that they may cause those sorts of issues, will it be worse than the problems caused by being fat?Originally posted by falafel View Post

it seems most doctors feel pretty good about them, if for no other reason than being fat is worse for a person's health than just about any potential side effect they aren't yet aware of.I'm like LeBron James.

True, this could help a lot of people get into a much healthier range. But I'll bet that a lot of people have already done some serious damage to their bodies by the time they go on Ozempic.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Post

Either way, do you have to keep taking it to maintain results? Seems I remember that it kinda acts like an appetite repressor. So if go off it, get ready for the rebound. Am I wrong about that?Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

No, you are correct. People who go off of it quickly balloon their weight.Originally posted by falafel View Post

I like to read. I can read fairly quickly and im satisfied with my abilities in comprehension. But when I need to read out loud I am not much better than my 10 year old. I'm reading Harry Potter to my 7 year old out loud and it's rough, man. I'm stumbling over words and mispronouncing the basics. So weird.

but i agree with you. they best be praying there isn't some severe side effect to staying on a drug like that over a 10, 20, 30 year period.I'm like LeBron James.
