Do not place blind faith in Google image search. I was looking at a small intestine biopsy that had been infected with virus. I asked my partner his opinion and very confidently stated it was a certain virus. He said he also backed it up with a google search.
Trusting him, I call the clinician and tell him his patient is infected with that virus. The next day I'm reviewing the case and something is just not sitting right. It looks like another virus to me. So I look up the same google image he pulled up, and find out that image was incorrectly labelled with the virus he thought it was.
I call the clinician back and tell him I was wrong, that it is another virus. I didn't tell him that my diagnosis was partly based on a google image search

I found this presentation from NASA fascinating. It shows the relative sizes of pretty much everything in the known universe ranging from things smaller than subatomic particles (what's a yoctometer?) to, well, the known universe. You can zoom in and out, click on various items, and learn a little about a lot of stuff. Did you know the shrew eats its weight in food daily? I've been known to do this but unlike the shrew, my brain does not comprise 10% of my body weight. The shrew should know better.

EDIT: I don't know if I like Cruithne following us around the sun like it does. Seems suspicious.Last edited by myboynoah; 03-26-2012, 01:14 AM.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Have you ever looked at your old bank statements? Looking at where and when I spent my money takes me back. I'm cleaning out and shredding 2007 right now. All the Utah transactions mark the last summer I spent with my mother.

Yes, I do that sometimes. It's amazing how I can recall exactly what I did on a day years ago by examining the check card purchases.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostHave you ever looked at your old bank statements? We've been doing that recently. We've been saving all that stuff forever and have finally decided to shred what we don't really need to keep. We're mainly noticing things like how much money we put into certain cars to keep them going, or how much we spent remodeling our kitchen. "Wow, we sure went through a lot of money".Originally posted by myboynoah View PostHave you ever looked at your old bank statements?

Unfortunately, they only carry black and 1.0mm (which isn't too bad, actually). No, actually I was talking about Joyful. I'm a bit disappointed that you'd create an account just to take credit for someone else's good deed. That said, if you find the pen in blue, let me know. The superglide pen is awesome.Originally posted by Mercyme View PostI think you are talking about me DH...lol... I have been trying to let you know about Big Lot's selling the Superglide pen. I also am looking for the pen in blue.....stay tuned
