  • Up late working in a hotel room and watching, sort of, Thelma and Louise in the background. It is amazing to me just how large Geena Davis' head is. It dwarfs Brad Pitt's head. A HUGE melon.

Crazy. I was thinking exactly the same thing. A HUGE melon.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Does it have its own weather system?

        • Jack Lew's kids are lucky. This is a pretty easy sig to forge.

One time in middle school my parents were the intended recipients of a behavior referral, which they were supposed to sign and I was to return to the school. To save them the hassle of reading the referral and signing it, I chose to circumvent the process and do it all myself. This turned out to be a poor choice as my efforts were unappreciated. Sadly it didn't end well, though I did learn early that forgery wouldn't be a path I should pursue.

He's getting hammered all over the interwebs for that signature. It's pretty funny. He might as well sign X.

That is just stupid politics. I have a signature that is illegible as well, but for good reason.

My signature serves multiple purposes, it identifies who I am (i stamp my name) and it has features that must be present to be certified as mine (local pharmacist knows what to look for). Finally, it has to be efficient, nothing elaborate since I sign it over 100 times a day.

What more do you want in a signature from practicality sake? Identify, secure, ease of use.

He's not getting hammered by politicians for his signature.

I have a friend that designed signatures for people. No lie.

The majority of Americans are political, and can be quite polarized. I bet a dollar that the people ripping him voted for mitt.

Actually, the first place I saw him mocked for it was on Reddit's front page.

                      You sign prescriptions? Quaint.

I thought most places had switched over to e-prescribing.

If everyone moves to e-prescribing, how will those prescription pad thieves get their drug fixes?

I love it when I go to my doctor or pediatrician and we need a prescription that all we have to tell them is where we will be picking it up. By the time we leave the doctor's office and get to the pharmacy, our prescription is usually ready.

                          Narcotics can't be e-prescribed.

We are finishing the first round of certifying that our EMR is up to snuff according to CMS. One of the requirements is that you have a certain percentage of your prescriptions sent electronically. Not too hard if you are prescribing a variety of meds on a daily basis, but the majority of what I prescribe are narcotics for post-op pain.

Yeah that would be a problem.

The last time I "prescribed" oxycodone was when a guy up in Brigham City wrote it on the bottom of the script for his blood pressure meds a couple of years ago.

Incredibly it got filled no questions asked the first time. Then he went back a week later for a refill and that's when the idiot got caught.

Refills are even easier than that at Kaiser Permanente. You can do it online and they'll mail them to your house.

So what is the reason narcotics can't be prescribed electronically?
