All my life my favorite thing to do with a helium balloon is let go of it, and watch it rise and where it goes.

It goes into the Puget Sound and ends up in the stomach of an aquatic bird leading to a painful death.

Not to mention the helium gas, being a lighter gas, will eventually will head into the exosphere and maybe even escape the earth's gravity to drift off into space. We can mine more for SU, however. About 40% used in the US of the Helium comes from Texas.

BYU drinking game...

Brigham Young University media relations manager Todd Hollingshead jokes that it’s his school’s version of a drinking game: Repeat as the nation’s most "stone-cold sober school" and tip back a carton of chocolate milk.

"I guess you could say it’s our sweet 16th," he says. There is no double-secret probation at BYU; the school’s famed Honor Code makes total sobriety a condition of enrollment. "We absolutely embrace it," he says. "It’s a major reason why people choose to be here."


BYU was also ranked the No. 1 most religious school, the No. 6 LGBT-unfriendly school and was at or near the top of various sobriety lists. Iowa was named the nation’s best party school. Each campus receives 333 surveys, involving 126,000 total students nationwide.

I believe that if BYU did not have the famed Honor Code, it would still be the most "stone-cold sober school" in the nation. It would also still be ranked number 1 religious school and number 6 LGBT-unfriendly.

Is it truly a major reason people choose to be there? Let's see, I can be around lots of mormons who believe like I do. The tuition is subsidized. The education is top notch. What, no famed honor code, forget it I am not going to BYU.

This seemed like the best place to put this. Searching for SAT or ACT is kind of futile.

When I took the ACT in high school the first time, I immediately registered to take it a second time because I thought I did poorly. Turns out I did pretty good. I still went through with the 2nd test, and ended up scoring a point lower. If I had to take it now without preparation, I'd probably score a good 10 points lower. (article is profane, but pretty funny).

I had a Fisker sighting today. I came up on it and thought it was a gorgeous car, and not sure what it was. I saw the nameplate and "oh... that's a Fisker."

After reading up on it today, looks like Fisker won't be around for tomorrow.

Coming home from golf today, I saw the same car 15 miles away from yesterday's sighting. Weird.

Collegiate bass fishing championships? I've caught one single bass in my entire life. It was a small mouth and was no kidding 2 inches long. Caught it on a wooly bugger that had come mostly untied making it about as long as the fish itself.

It's a perfect day at the beach... let's go.

Cannon Beach? I was just there a couple of weeks ago. Very scenic, and fun for tidal pools and kite flying. But it was too cold for me to enjoy like a regular beach. 65 degrees with a breeze was the best it got while we were there.
