Got it. I know. For some reason the reflow doesn't seem to work anymore on Dolphin and the latest ICS build from what I have read.. I think this is also a function of certain websites and how they are built.

Lots of people say Opera has reflow working.

Can the iPhone do what ER is asking about? My iPad can't.

ER, it looks like this may be an issue specific to Samsung ICS phones. For some reason, they removed the text re-flow feature from their browser. Someone said that the mobile Opera brower would do it, so maybe try that.

As for waiting or buying now, I believe (subject to a possible correction from Uncle Ted) that most of the improvement in the iPhone 5 will be software related. The new phone will have a larger screen and be slightly thinner, but the 4S will run the same new software features that will be introduced with iOS 6. If having a larger screen and a thinner phone isn't as important to you, you could probably get a 4S and have the benefits of iOS 6.
For another point of comparison, I had an iPhone for about three years before I got an S3. I don't think the S3 feels any clunkier than my old iPhone. My wife just got a 4S at the same time I got my S3 and I think they're both about the same level of smoothness.

Interestingly, I played with a couple of tablets yesterday when I was buying my new computer. There was a Lenovo and another brand that I looked at (I didn't notice a Samsung). Both had Android, but they just felt different. I think it probably comes down to the manufacturer rather than just the OS.

Good question. I ended up sending it to a company that specializes in iPhone repair/water damage (and toilet damage). They dried it, cleaned it, tested it, fixed it, and sent it back to me. I've been very happy with my phone, as it seems good as new, and I've almost gotten used to the smell too.

              Your anxiously-awaited update:
Opera browser fixed the wraparound issue. Kind of a slick browser too--I like it.
Installed swype but now it won't show up on the input settings screen to select it as the default. It looks like this is a verizon issue. Any verizon GS3 swype loving users out there?
Swiftkey is cool--much better text prediction.

              Thanks everyone!

My super awesome iPad with its rock solid iOS will not connect to the hospital network.

                My phone connects just fine.

As much as I love my iPad, my biggest gripe is how much it struggles to connect to various WIFI networks. You can see the network there, you know you've got the password correct, and yet the little circle just keeps endlessly spinning . . .

Anyone have experience with Droid 4 or know someone who does?

I still am using the original Droid and I'm upgrading.

Thoughts on Droid 4 vs Samsung GS III vvs Droid Razr Max?

I still miss my old Blackberry's keyboard. I liked the Droid 4 when I tested it, but I've heard the battery performance is poor.

Mine connects with the church wi-fi at our stake center but not at our ward building, where I actually need it.

Has anyone rooted the GS3 yet?

Also--this verizon backup assistant plus thing is driving me crazy. How do I stop it?

I rooted right away. I thought I bricked my phone doing it because I flashed the root file for the international version. But was able to fix that and all is well. It's easy to do and I am sure it is even easier now than when I did it.

I've never rooted. But I'm annoyed by a couple of things on the UI that I'm hoping go away. Any tips?

I'll post some when I can get to a computer. If there are things you don't like about the touchwiz UI you can maybe try an alternate launcher that doesn't require root. Root will give you access to flash different roms though.

Here is a link I found on XDA Forums:

This is to root your phone via flashing, it's pretty straight forward. It looks like someone created a rather simple root tool for the Verizon variant:
