We're planning on being there in a little less than a year. Did you do the Bridge Walk? Is it worth it?

Joe, make sure you check out the botanical gardens behind the opera house.

I didn't, but I would have if I'd had a little more time. The view must be great from up there. Here's a thread-compliant picture I grabbed for you before I left. There is a group of walkers toward the closer end of the bridge and another group almost to the flags at the top.

Extended spring break with the kids. My wife loves to travel but my work makes it difficult. Our oldest starts HS next year and she is worried that with school/friends/athletics that a long family vacation will be difficult. Plus, it is something she has always wanted to visit. We were worried the kids would be bored but they really enjoyed it.

In preparation for the trip my wife had all the kids watch several educational videos (NOVA, Nat Geo, etc.). After a while I could tell they were getting bored so I asked if I could show a video about Stonehenge. She wasn't sure what to think but new I was likely up to no good. When I played that scene here worries were confirmed but the kids loved it.

Hah. All that's left is to give the kids a short speech on how it's stood the test of time before backing into it with the rental car on the way out.
