That and if you zoom in down the street you saw one of those classic NYC skyscrapers with the setbacks.

Like many, the GIs made me guess a few years early at the Trevi Fountain. I think I said 1948

Picked Kyiv instead of Riga and was off on a lot of years.

            • 43,575 today. Lebanon was toughest for me, went with Armenia for no good reason really. Tim Hortons and a Waterfront sign sent me to Vancouver but I went with 2018 thinking pre-covid.

              • Did me dirty today.Tombstone, Coliseum, and New Zealand were easy but I only nailed the NZ year. Thought the election was somewhere in South America. I was about to put Vancouver for the last one but what I could see on the license plates it looked more plain, like Ontario's. So I put Toronto. And then the film strip at the bottom?!? Cmon.

                  Yeah, me too.

38,519. Took a little while scrolling through the map in Vancouver, but I found the location. I think that's the first time I've gotten all 10,000 points.

Got 3 of the 5 within 50 m. I was a decade off the Cobain one, not recognizing him but strangely considered the grunge era but considered that later part and was way too late. I picked Spain for the Lebanon picture. I considered the Middle East and North Africa, but thought the apartment buildings in the background were pretty nice for those areas, so I picked Spain.

The Canada Place one was the easiest. I went to Expo 86, so I knew where that was right off the bat.

The Tombstone one was pretty easy too, but it took me a while to search the state I knew it was in.

I find the thing that helps me place the year the most are shoes and car models I recognize.

Having never been to the colosseum, the cross threw me off, so I guessed Europe in general. Went to South America instead of Lebanon and Aukland instead of Wellington. Best time performance yet, with an average of 3.6 yrs off.

                          Same.

I was pretty sure it was the colosseum. Made an educated guess the cross would be on the East side. I got really close on that one.

                          • 44,591. Got the Colosseum right, but missed it by one year. Got impatient looking for the cross street in Vancouver, so I missed it by 300m. Picked Aukland instead of Wellington, for no other reason than I had no idea and took a blind guess on the city. Lucky guess on Beirut, missing by 2k, but I was off by 6 years.
