St. Valentine's left iPhones under the tree for TW and I.
Now I have to spend time looking at all these apps.
Shit.
Wait, you have a Valentine's tree or were you just too lazy to take down the Xmas tree?
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
What would be the real benifit of a jailbreak? I buy all my stuff through the app store. And I am not super up on the technology.
You all put me to shame.
The main reasons I jailbreak are:
(1) It allows me to "tether" my laptop to my iPhone (or turn my iPhone into a wifi "hotspot" that shares its cell network connection). I don't usually need to tether since I am usually around wifi but is very useful when I need it. I currently use the MyFi app in the "jailbroken app store" or Cydia.
(2) 3G Unrestrictor. AT&T places restrictions on which apps can be used with 3G/Edge data connections. 3G Unrestrictor removes the restrictions. For example, it allows me to download App Store or iTunes Store downloads that are over 10MB when on the road.
(4) Having the warm fuzzy feeling that my iPhone is "unlocked". Being unlocked means I can travel to europe and pick up a pre-paid SIM while I am there or being able to leave AT&T for T-Mobile. If you are iPhone is locked to AT&T then some other SIM is not going to work.
(5) Misc cool hacks like the Mobile Safari AdBlock. This saves bandwidth and time when I am surfing on a slow network.
Head over to the Official Jailbroken iPhone iDevice Thread and join the conversation. (It is mainly me talking to myself.)

I'm looking for an armband for my iPhone. I want to start running again and using the Nike+ GPS app, but I want to be able to strap my phone to my arm. I also really like the thought of having my phone around with me as I run, so I can push myself easily and have a fall back if I pull something or need my wife to come and get me. Does anybody else use their iPhone as their music while running, and if so, what arm band do you use? TIA.

I do. I didn't but with the nike+GPS app I started to. The app is great and since I was carrying my phone anyways, it just made sense. It is lacking a few items that I want, but I suspect with updates it will be everything I want it to be soon enough.
