When you're in China on your next visit, hook yourself up.

Not sure why some worked and some didn't. I did get a lot of regional error messages. Also, you sometimes get poor quality duplication when buying in the black market. So unless the vendor has an X-Box handy, you can't test them before purchase. I used to do that for DVD's but stopped because it got embarrassing having them prove that all my porn would play before I would actually purchase it.

Yes, I know. But that's not what Art was asking about. Nor do I see Art as the type to mod his kids' xbox just to make back up copies of WWE 2010.

Why do you use a VPN on your phone? Also, what kind of phone do you have (OS)?

I connect nearly daily using my iPad via VPN to read company email, access company internal web, etc. As of iOS 4.x the iPad/iPhone supports Cisco AnyConnect. You may have to bulid a provisioning profile to install. Your IT department may have already done this for you. You can find more information at:

Why do you need VPN to check company email? Curious.

Folks pass around company secrets via email. Therefore, according to the company security policy, which is enforced by the configuration profile, the only way you can access the company internal email server is via a VPN connection. The way apple has done the configuration profiles is pretty nice actually adds a lot of security for enterprise solution. In order for me to access the company's internal network, for example, I have to set a secure passcode (PIN) on my iPad. If I don't have a PIN then I don't get to connect to the VPN. There are other things that can be enforced by the company's security provisioning profile. For example, encrypted backups, limits on installing/running certain apps, disabling things like javascript in mobile safari, etc. The iPhone/iPad can be locked down very well while connected to the company's internal network.

Lots of companies I know do this where you deal with sensitive or classified information. I have to do the same thing as Ted. On top of a PIN I have a password, unique user name and use an RSA token to establish a VPN to check my email.

Yes. I have a soft token RSA app on my blackberry specifically for this reason.

I mean do you have to do all that every time you want to view email on your phone? We have a VPN for logging onto the firm extranet that requires a username, password, PIN and RSA tiken, but I don't need any of that when I check mail on my BB.

For iphone users, I understand the firm requires them to have a password lock on for when the phone screen goes off.

For one of my email accounts, yes. It's a PITA. For my unclass account it's not required.

                              • In terms of VPN, my hospital supports anyconnect, but they think the iPad is an insecure platform, so they won't install the mobility add-on.

So, I use other means. I use logmein for my work computer and I use wyse pocketcloud and the pocket companion to access my home computers.
