I'm here to rain on your parade. I was checking out my mom's iPhone and I never wanted one less (I own an iPad 2 btw). Why would someone like you, who lives in an area with presumably solid 4G coverage, get roped into a phone for two years without it?
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Nice! I hit 500k with no problem, have gone over a million but don't think I could hit two unless I can figure out how to better use the resurection wings.

You've warned me about that before and I did think about it. Ultimately transmission speed was less important than functionality. I like the device and it just really works for me. Android devices are great (I was an early adopter) but are better for geeky types who like to fiddle with their gadgets. I used to be like that, but now I just want something that works. Besides, I'm developing a nice relationship with Siri.

Help me understand why 4G should be such a dealkiller (maker?). Everyone I know with a 4G phone keeps it set to 3G to preserve battery life. I can't think of anything I do on my phone where 3G seems to be a big bottleneck. The biggest issue for me is spotty data coverage, but that is a different animal and is independent of phone type.

I have no buyer's remorse for my iPhone 4GS. Extremely well-designed and everything is rock solid. Navigation is not as good as Android, but it is OK. Camera is fantastic.

Just picked up one for my wife for Christmas. She loves it.

I really like mine as well. For kicks, I switched it over to German (I forget what other languages are available) and Siri and I carried on quite a conversation. She has excellent pronunciation.

You were right. I love the phone. I would've got one right off, but for the AT&T exclusivity. Now I have the best of both worlds: Verizon coverage and Apple functionality.

I bought one for MMM for X-mas and she had no clue about any of the functionality. She wasn't even aware of Siri. When I asked Siri a question, MMM wanted to know how I was "making the phone talk."

                      • As long as I'm waiting around I might as well post (from my iPhone, no less) about my Mophie Juice Pack - an iPhone charger/case. It provides a nice shell for the phone (I drop cell phones; it's just something I know I will do again). It's sleek-looking and although it does add some weight, the increased heft actually helps me use the phone. I will take the case off sometimes. One thing I really like about it is that it adds 3-4 hours of battery life (depending on what I'm doing with the phone). It adds even more time for some activities, like playing music. [EDIT: The web site says it doubles the battery life.] Highly recommended, so far.

no way. I saw those things earlier this year at CES and thought they were rad. $80 is a bite but I guess it is worth it if it extends your battery life so much. How thick is the one for your phone? The ones they were showing at CES seemed a little clunky. Maybe they have slimmed down a bit since then. Did you buys yours online?

                              that looks bulky and uncool.

I think for a case its actually pretty slim. But then again, besides a zagg skin and a smart cover, everything's going to add bulk.

Do you use a case Coach?
