This. I have used both Evernote and OneNote and OneNote is much better, IMO. But rather than DropBox, just put your notebooks on SkyDrive when you create them on your laptop. Sync happens automatically in the background. Then you can access the same files from your laptop, iPad, and iPhone. No monthly fee like Evernote and it works great.

    • The new Google Maps app is great, especially on the large-screen iPhone 5. The real winner in all this is Apple, though. They got what they wanted: Google Maps with turn-by-turn directions on the iPhone. Google blinked first. Apple won.

Yeah, I'm super-excited. We're moving to New York City in three weeks and I'm happy to be able to have Google's public transportation maps/schedules back! I didn't like having to switch between Apple Maps and HopStop.

          • Like anyone uses their phones for navigation. What, you can't find your way to Costco?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

                    • Help! Sound stopped coming from my iPad 2. When I use the side volume up/down,nothing happens and only the icon is displayed that shows just a volume but without any levels to increase the volume.

Strange thing is that when I plug in my headphone into the volume jack of the iPad 2 , sound plays just fine.

                      Things I have tried:

                      1) checked the sound setting in the general-sounds and everything seems to be correct.
                      2) Verified the side volume /lock button.
                      3) When I double click the home button and slide to the right , I can see the volume button being displayed there without volume levels and can't even increase the volume.
                      4) recently downloaded the iOS6

Everything that I have tried has not worked. Lebowski, Uncle Ted, and the rest...please help a brother out.

Any chance you have somehow switched the side volume/lock button to screen lock?

I checked that hundreds of times. When I try to adjust the volume on the side volume it just shows the icon for the sound effects.

I assume you have pressed the speaker/sound button when you do #3 and see if gets crossed out when you press it etc.

Double click home button and then swipe right to check software volume setting.

Try a hard reboot. Hold down power button and home button at the same time until it powers off. Then reboot.

If that doesn't work google your problem and you will see a few other suggested solutions.
