I have been using Pages and Keynote. Both seem to work great. I will always do my primary content creation on my laptop, but it is nice to be able to read and do minor edits on the iPad. It is also a nice way to review PPT files just prior to a presentation. The cool thing about Keynote is that my PPT files open and work just fine on my iPhone. One of these days I am going to walk up in front of a crowd, whip out my iPhone, and do my entire presentation from my phone. Just because I can!

BTW, I bought a bluetooth keypad for my iPad. I hate the ones built in to the covers, but the smaller Apple bluetooth keypad is awesome. I used it on several flights earlier this week and was able to get a ton of work done on the plane. Much easier to use in the cramped space compared to my laptop and the batter life is so much better. Highly recommended.

    • Swordigo is a fun platformer that has a Zelda vibe to it. If they keep developing levels for it, could have some big potential.

The little Apple bluetooth keypad is awesome but maybe you should just get a Macbook Air... just because you can!

Speaking of which, it sounds like the new MacBook Pros will be similar to the current Macbook Airs.

I've used both Endomondo and Nike Plus GPS. They both work fine, but I prefer my Garmin 305.

Endomondo is free and does a great job tracking everything. I think you could even hook a heartbeat monitor up to it. You can program it to give you updates through your earphones (splits every mile, km, 1/2 miles, whatever). You can sign up for an account on their website so you can track your miles and you can even have it automatically post your workout to your FB account. If you have friends that are signed up, you can log in when they are running and send them messages, which will then be relayed to them through earphones and a soft, cyberlike female voice. I would send MJ funny quips during her runs last year.

I didn't use Nike Plus GPS much but it did the same stuff, only I think I had to pay for the app. It probably does everything the Endomondo app does, but for some reason I didn't like the interface much.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I've used the mapmyrun/mapmyride apps. They do a good enough job, but are a total battery suck. I rarely use them, unless it is just a short walk or jog around the neighborhood.

Nike+GPS does a damn good job and has a battery saving mode.

Nice. Just run your Windose apps via VMWare or using boot camp.

They should be coming out soon.

                          • Do we have a separate thread for LDS apps? I don't recall one.

Last Sunday during a boring lesson I found a couple of very cool LDS-themed iPad/iPhone apps.

Bible Videos - This has probably been posted here before, but this app is for streaming the new bible videos being produced by the church. All of the narrative for the videos comes straight from the KJV. I wasn't sure what to think of this at first, but after watching a few, I quite like it. It keeps the message simple and straight-forward as they don't clutter things up with extra dramatic elements. I also have to plug this because my son has played a small role in the production.

LDS Scriptures SideBySide - I love this app. You can put multiple language translations side-by-side while reading and they stay synched as you scroll. Two languages makes the most sense, but you can do three (I haven't tried more than that) also. Here is a screenshot from my iPhone:

Great way to keep up a second language. It costs $5.99. This is just the triple. The bible version is a separate app.
