Anybody have an estimate as to how long it will be before the new iPad hits the market?Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

If they follow previous announcement patterns, the device will hit the store about a month or so after the announcement. Then you have to be able to find one before they sell out.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostAnybody who knows jack shit about anything have an estimate?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Yes, about 3-4 weeks after the announcement. Pre-order on-line to avoid the long lines and being disappointed when they sell out.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIf they follow previous announcement patterns, the device will hit the store about a month or so after the announcement. I just went to my local Best Buy the day of launch about 30 minutes before the time they started selling the iPad2 and picked one up.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostAnybody who knows jack shit about anything have an estimate?
You should definitely sell your iPad2 for $475.
I also thought it was something like 2-3 weeks after announcement when the thing was actually released. I'm not sure exactly how Apple does that.
Edit- last year they announced the iPad2 on March 2 and it was released on March 11. Supposedly the announcement for the iPad 3 is coming March 7. March 16 is a Friday like March 11 was last year. If the pattern holds then March 16 is the release day.Last edited by Color Me Badd Fan; 03-01-2012, 07:41 AM.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

If you go past the visuals of the video, what were they trying to say with the soundtrack provided by Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam?Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostLeak

Not only no hope, but no need. Why pine for expandable storage? Throw it all on the cloud. If anything, it reduces the need for a 64g option unless you literally want a thousand apps on your device.Originally posted by chrisrenrut View PostOk, that makes more sense. I wish Apple would get on board with removable/expandable storage. I guess there isn't much hope for that with cloud storage being emphasized now.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

There are certain applications that would function better with the ability to have a second local storage medium. iPad's are becoming very popular with musicians and there is quite a market for peripherals. One of the flaws when using the iPad to compose and record music is that there is there is no alternate high speed data storage so that the system drive (memory) can run apps while the other drive reads and writes data. Also transferring projects from an iPad to a computer would be enhanced if removable storage media was an option.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostNot only no hope, but no need. Hmm. I hadn't thought of those types of uses.Originally posted by Shaka View PostThere are certain applications that would function better with the ability to have a second local storage medium. iPad's are becoming very popular with musicians and there is quite a market for peripherals.
