    Official 2011 gambling thread

    Well folks its time to start thinking about future odds for college football. Here are a couple odds I like.

    Michigan +550 to win the legends division
    Utah +200 to win the pac12 south
    tcu +350 to win the mwc (boise -350 for reference)
    Air force +1600 to win mwc
    Texas +650 to win the big12

    soon season win totals will up

    I dont generally bet the Pros but some win totals I like.

    Under on the Lions 7.5 +110 (bet $100 to win $110)
    Two reasons:

    1. Everyone is betting on Lions for the over
    2. They are the Detroit Lions.

    Under on Arizona Cardinals 6.5 -135 (bet $100 win 65)
    Two reasons
    1. Kevin Kolb is vastly overrated
    2. They are the Arizona Cardinals.

              If you bet the Air Force line, you might as well set your money on fire. I think college football teams change a lot from season to season (one reason everyone hates pre-season polls), so a real wiseguy could probably clean up.

              I think you're right with the Detroit Lions pick. I heavily doubt they get to 8 wins. But AZ has a chance in their crappy division.

              MRD and I had a discussion last night about how gambling and pornography were both heavily frowned upon. Then it hit us: why can't we gamble on porn? There's got to be a way.

                Sure AF is 16 to 1 odds. If you wanted to take a $10 flyer (nice pun) on a longshot why not them? Boise st gets some early injuries, TCU qb doesnt turn out as planned. Its possible.

                  I like the TCU bet. Boise has TCU and Air Force at home, but I could see either team beating Boise. Boise has an amazing record against Mountain West teams, though.

                    TCU is -6 at Baylor to open the season. Seems like a great time to bet on the Bears.

                      Ohio st over 48 Akron
                      Mich -14 western
                      Usc -21 minn

                      Two team teaser Lock of week
                      Mich -8 Colo St +1.5

                      Bonus Two team teaser
                      Wisconsion -29 Baylor +12

                        I try and stay away from lines for the first couple of weeks until I get a better feel of what is going on.

                        I do like your pick of Baylor +6 TCU, but I think USC -21 Minn is a little scary. That line seems too big for a team (USC), that I'm not sure where they are mentally.

                          Well they are playing Minnesota at home. Minnesota sucks there is my justification.

                            some lines I am watching.

                            byu -2.5 (if this moves to below 2 by gameday I would be them.)
                            No Illinois -10 v Army (2 point swing either way would have me going)

                              Love Michigan at that price. The schedule is favorable and I think Brady Hoke can do for Michigan what Urban did for Utah -- turn it around immediately.

                              Too much chalk on Utah at 2-1. I think we're longer odds to win it, quite frankly.

                              AFA definitely worth a flier, especially with BYU and Utah out of the league. But I'd love to see what the money line will be when it plays Boise. I think the Flyboys pull a shocker and win outright.
