My initial suggestion was to just cover it with a large framed picture or painting and put the TV on the half wall on the other side of the room. But my wife doesn't like the room layout options that way. She said just dry wall it over. But because I'm lazy I'll probably just leave it as is and keep kidding myself that I'll be able to afford a different house in this terrible housing market for buyers.
I wonder if you could get a telescoping-type mount that you could secure in the existing area but have the TV out in front of the setback?

Have you looked at the mounts at monoprice.com?

I can't remember the last time I had this much confidence in a BYU football team.
Yeah I just rewatched the Boise State game and that's where the big difference was. Our O Line can flat out block, and our D line is just big and fast. Lots of different jerseys logging sacks.

I also forgot how evenly matched that game was until Boise State's defense started gassing out. Then we just pushed them around.

This is one of the most interesting BYU games ever. Among the many reasons, the national story about BYU's football truck odyssey, the huge props BYU and Holmoe are getting for putting the game together on such short notice and the overwhelming logistical challenges they're overcoming, two exciting offenses, serious post-season implications, all this amidst one of most tumultuous periods in U.S. history.... I'm very concerned that all the distractions and short notice will seriously hurt BYU's performance, but in the unlikely event they lose, they've still earned a lot of respect and I've kicked in a few extra bucks for BYU Athletics because of it. I'm especially proud to be a Cougar this week.

Well said. Agree on all points.

For some reason, I was way more nervous before the BSU game. Feeling confident so far.

Yep, I feel confident as well. I think BYU has a huge chip on their shoulder and will come out fired up. As I read the stoopid comments on the Twitter, I've got a chip on my shoulder as well.

Good read from ESPN's Ryan McGee on the background of CCU's football program's beginnings (written over a month ago when the Chanticleers were 5-0): https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...see-attraction

And in this interview he says that he usually is producing games from the booth, but this will be his first game as a sideline reporter: https://www.wmbfnews.com/2020/12/04/...ahead-gameday/

Ute fans = cancer? I thought only YOhio was bold enough to go there.

What kind of cancer? That is the question.

My guess is that the Utes extend the winning streak to 10 in a bowl game this year.
