  • Choke the Chickens! Official BYU v. Coastal Carolina Game Thread

South Carolina sure has a disproportionate number of unique cock mascots. I'm so happy to see BYU play this weekend I don't even care if it's on the second ugliest field in CFB.

    3rd ugliest.

This abomination in Cheney WA, may even be worse than the Albertson's atrocity in Boise

Yikes. My daughter has been getting invites to Eastern Washington. I'll show her this pic and hopefully avert a catastrophe.

This game is such a gift and a definite COVID silver lining. A road win against a ranked team is just what is needed. The committee will try to discount it because it is not a P5 win but Coastal beat Louisiana who handled Iowa State on their home field. If the committee has any shred of consistency, a win makes our big 12 problems go away.

How much of a worry is it that BYU will only have a couple of days to prep for this game? They are a small but fast team. Speed hasn't kind to BYU in the past. I have only watched highlights of CC this far, but it looks like they are a spread option offense. But I could be off base.

It's a worry, but they have only had a few days too. And for at least some of the time, they were prepping for Liberty.

Spread offense, with a very balanced pass-run ratio. They average about 220 yards per game in both passing and rushing.

They will have the same problem.

CC looks great on paper. Can't wait for the game.

I just watched some highlights so I feel qualified to answer this. I had the same thoughts about their speed on offense. They have one receiver and one RB in particular that could traditionally give BYU fits. However, they look pretty small and not particularly fast on both lines. I expect our OL to eat them up and for us to pile up the rushing yards at will. I have no idea how it will go on defense for us. Could be a shootout but last time I was kind of worried about a shootout was Boise

I cannot wait to see what Khyiris Tonga does with that smallish center on the CC o-line.

I predicted the thread title but figured it would be LVAllen posting it.

I think it will be a sloppier game than we've been used to seeing this year, but hopefully BYU will hold it together and get a convincing win.

I pulled the trigger on a Black Friday deal for a 75" Samsung 4k QLED TV. Gets here today. Mount gets here tomorrow. Perfect time for it with this game. Can't wait to see the teal field. Lol.

It is replacing a 52" Samsung Touch of Color TV that I bought in 2008 for the USC game. My first HD TV. Sonofabitch is still running. Moving into a spare bedroom.

Lol. I hate it when old TVs refuse to die.
