If we crush Coastal, there's no reasonable argument for ranking us below Cincinnati anymore. Coastal is way better than anyone Cincy has beat ... and it is a road game for BYU (on 2 days notice). Playoff is probably a non-starter regardless, but I would expect we would take Cincy's spot in the discussion of whether a non-P5 team could work its way in. If our stats look close to what they have most of the season, it would be hard to argue against BYU.

I agree but the committee have been such intransigent assholes wrt byu it would not surprise me if they kept us lower. But in a sane world close win = top 10 and blowout win = 7 assuming nothing crazy like a Florida or A&M loss happens.
