Trolling? Do you doubt my sincerity? I think DI coaches are disproportionately represented by dispicable people as it is. Bronco is among the worst of the worst. I felt the same way about Pete Caroll's tirade at his qb for going pro, but this is so much worse and has gone on for so much longer.

Here are the facts. Six months after losing out on this kid Bronco is still saying he didn't want to go to BYU because he wanted to tip beers, bang coeds, and shirk a mission. We all know why he's doing this, he thinks it will help BYU's PR on the recruiting front. That's the only reason; he's smearing this kid for his own career advancement. (But as some have noted Bronco is no PR genius.) I realize DI football is not the YMCA, it's a business. But Bronco has taken this to a point of indecency. He's trashy; that's all I can say about a mature person (in years) who literally defames a child for filthy lucre. He belongs coaching at one of those schools that only cares about their football.

EDIT: Of course the irony is that when Teo did visit BYU the beer flowed freely. And there was nothing but glee when Heaps announced a mission was not for him.

      Bronco
I am going to try to stereotype as best I can, so I protect their family and BYU
      Keep it up buddy.
      I love it.
      I intend to live forever.
      So far, so good.

This may be one of the finest four-sentence offerings of your career. If Bronco, in your view, is among the most despicable people (your double superlative places him in some pretty elite company) to have ever lived, you've led a very charmed life. And I would never doubt your sincerity.

I'm surprised you didn't opt for the usual reductio ad absurdum conclusion: since Bronco is beloved by thousands of fans and a great many players who have bought into his approach, they, too, are necessarily among the most despicable people ever to have darkened the planet. Make the Nazis look like saints.

Yes I do, but I also think ex-ute trolls. Maybe I am wrong about both of you.

If Bronco wasn't so hell bent on kids serving a mission, BYU might get more of these kids. They probably think that they'll be pressured into going at BYU and it becomes a turn off.
I read his comments as saying that if these kids are serious about wanting to go on a mission (which they claim to be), then BYU is the best place to play football AND go on a mission. I thought he was only pointing out that if you say you want to go on a mission and go to some other big school, there's a very good chance you won't end up going.

I think he's both being serious about that as well as taking a few shots and these kids who made such a big deal out of going on a mission and then never did.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

You are taking a page out of my book comparing a nemesis to exute. It won't work.

This settles it. I am convinced that Bronco reads CUF and that interview was a blatant troll of SU. You couldn't script one better.

I can tell you don't have a substantive defense for a 43-year old authority figure accusing a 17-year old of selecting Notre Dame because he had a secret desire to violate some of his lifelong faith's most important tenets, including prohibitions on pre-maritial sex and on drinking alcohol, and admonishion that he serve a mission. The fact that CBers are lapping up this puke says it all about the character of the core BYU fan base.

Bronco has committed a tort against Teo. I'm sure a defamation suit would survive summary judgment (I'm in my field here), and a jury may award him millions of dollars against Bronco and BYU.

This has nothing to do with being pompous, only about stewardship and personal accountability and class.

You're the best SU, truly unique in your perspective........

I seemingly can't find anything offensive that Bronco said in the interview towards Teo, but of course you will find something so egregious it is worthy of a public execution for Bronco.

What I find most peculiar about all of this is that people are still talking about it, all these months later, talking about a player who isn't even going to go to BYU.......

What exactly did Whitt have to say about the U program this past MWC pre season get together, I must have missed anything he said, did he have anything to say?

Surely the U has some players who are worthy of mentioning at the MWC get together, Qbs, someone that Whitt could pimp?

Nah, all the focus is on BYU, and what Bronco had to say about an incident that happened over 6 months ago.

Keep singing SU, the choir is just getting fired up!!!!!!
Let's get on with the gettin' on....

My point exactly. I have never heard a coach miss out on a recruit even talk about the guy thereafter. I guess the only slight exception is when Majerus would say, "I really tried to get that kid, and you saw why tonight, he's really terrific in every way!" Losing out on Teo (come on, we all knew he had no real chance anyway) seems to have really psychologically damaged Bronco. I'd love it if he'd stop stalking the kid and committing torts against him.

I have talked plenty about the utes and their recruiting class. 3D will vouch that I called last season like a prophet. But I will never allow Bronco a break on his phony, hypocritical behavior. He's too good an object lesson and, as you know, I only aim to help people here.
