Who does Denny replace? He's a nice player but he's not better than Jan or Misi. Bauman and Clawson play different positions. I think Clawson is the better of the two and I agree with HL that Bauman is a joke. Maybe Clawson would be better than Bauman if he moved inside, but I doubt it. I have a hard time believing that Bauman is the best ML at either school. He was flat terrible last year.

      Exactly. He wasn't making any.

You have an argument with Brooks but Key hasn't proven a thing yet on the field other than he can block a punt. He may this year, that is still to be determined but some of the things I have heard out of the Utah camp is that he is a freak of an athlete but has a poor work ethic and doesn't understand the O.

If Boylen Over could combine BYU and Utah

He would so he wouldn't have to feel so guilty about cheering for BYU while claiming to be a Utah fan.

lol....I remember texting back n forth with you during that game and just how pissed off both of us were getting. Especially with Kellen Fowler.....I'm still amazed that a 5th year Sr in the last game of his career was blowing assignments that badly.

For the love of all that is holy, Bronco is not in Whit's class. Just look at the records. Black and white. Whit is in an elite class that Bronco doesn't smell. Sometimes I think there's nothing more ignorant than some Ute fans.

Very reasonable view. Not even a hint of bias in that response. Well done.
Of course I'm biased, who isn't?

I still can't forgive Brother Mendanhall for the Kellen Fowler thing. I know I say this often on this board but seriously WTF was he and Jaime Hill thinking starting him last year over Andrew Rich. I actually know why, I have found out more to the story but it still doesn't even come close to justifying that awful coaching decision.

It would be great if you could show just a small degree of impartiality when you come and post here. Most of the posters here have tried to get away from the us/them mantra. There are plenty of avenues to get that out if you wish: Uf.net, you could even go troll CB, they would really like you there.

I understand that you bleed red, see red, believe in red, but you make an ass of yourself when you don't think in black and white every now and then.
Hmm, I thought I did have at least a small degree as I gave Bronco his due with 3 ten win seasons and two OCCs. And then I made my case for Whit over Bronco. I also said Unga's inclusion in the backfield with Asiata would be wicked (for those of you who aren't sure, that's a good thing).

Also, I do think one could objectively put Brooks ahead of Jacobsen, if only because Brooks has been playing the last two years while Jacobsen has been serving a mission.

Ok, the Ludwig over Anae is pushing it because of all the abuse Lud took while at Utah, but I also think he was better than he was usually given credit for. Meanwhile, I didn't raise any concerns about Anae that BYU fans weren't raising themselves last November.

And Hall getting replaced mid-season by Wynn was pushing it too. But, hell, why not when so many think Wynn should be the starter this fall on the hill? Who would you rather have, Hall or the second coming of Alex Smith?

But hey, if this sight can't take anything other than BYU is great posts, then I am in the wrong place.

He couldn't even get the acronyms right. What the hell is an OOC? BSC?
Yes, I meant OCC, not OOC.

But since the BCS is a bunch of BS, BSC is a good alternate title.

Most sites I've been to don't beat people up for typos and mispellings because most people have them at one time or another.

Here are the records as head coach:

                          Whit - 37-14 (4-0 in bowls)

                          Mendenhall - 38-13 (2-2 in bowls)

Whittingham is a better bowl coach and Mendenhall has the better overall record.

Yes, I'd rather have Whittingham as the coach of my team, but the fact that you are incapable of objectivity speaks volumes of your sports IQ. There is nothing worse than homerism.

One more win, one less loss and one more OCC.

The separation isn't as big as it used to be.
