Maybe, if you look at Air Force they are worse during the same period using pure MOV. They have two 100+ rating seasons and Navy only has one. Otherwise, they are in 60-80 range. However in the 2007-2011 period Air Force average in the 30-50 range.

Grabbed Sagarin's predictor model (pretty close to well implemented pure MOV model). Last five year's at Navy average: 58.0. No sub 80 seasons. Pretty consistently in 50-60 with one season in the 40s.

I didn't even need all of this analysis to know I don't want Ken N anywhere near the BYu program. However, from a rational perspective, BYU is in BIG trouble. We all need to be praying that we luck out with an unproven HC like we did with Bronco and LaVell. I have a really really bad feeling about all of this.
