How many byu fans attended that meet than watch the game. I'm sure that very important rivalry event and attending it live led to decreased television numbers.

I'm guessing that BYU fans are going to be consistent and say that the Utes have arrived with all the national media attention they are getting with the win over the Ducks and talk of them being a playoff team.

In turn, I will also be consistent and indicate that the national attention is a function of the Utes having a big game over the weekend that was an interesting result that will drive good stories. Although, I do think Utah is slightly less of a freak show than BYU.

Also, praise James the Mormon. Commando was a Prophet. Only he among your fanbase recognized the bad karma that BYU producing a hype video 2 weeks into the season was going to cause. It was Quest for Perfection all over again. It has been great watching karma come back.

I have kept my celebrating over BYU's downfall to a minimum to avoid karmic backlash against the Utes. I'm also not going to be talking playoffs 4 weeks into the season to avoid a similar karmic backlash.

It was certainly a fun weekend. Although, my son did refuse to change from his green TMNT shirt into a red shirt for the Ute game. That is about the only thing that I could even describe as "bad" from sports this weekend. Well that and Utah's horrible rivalry showing in the unscored meet with BYU. Fuck BYU swimming.

I spent an evening with about 20 golfing buddies, wives and some kids celebrating one of the guys birthdays. I would say 16 Ute fans, 1 BYU fan and 3 don't cares. No rubbing it in my face. Asking what went wrong. Basically they seemed to have moved on from caring about what happens with BYU.

I do wonder why you and some others just can't seem to let it go. You have a team in a Power 5 conference. They are doing well. Yet you are obsessed with BYU.

I guess I could clarify, while there are now articles in the national media about Utah being in the playoff conversation, that talk is entirely premature at this point especially considering the tough stretch of games that Utah has after the bye week. Perhaps if Utah is at 7-0, it would be appropriate to start talking playoffs.
