I have to believe that the pressure to play the game against the academy is coming from One Mormon Place.

Who else has the clout to ignore all UTE fans?
Nobody cares what radio moron, tv blatherer or newspaper numbskull has to say.
The state legislature has no stake in this, they don't care. But they DO jump when their masters say so.

The LDS church, otoh, has a lot at stake in having their flagship school appear to be accepted.
If the state flagship school turns their back, that's a huge black eye. The whole thing can be avoided by the religion pulling on their marionette strings and have the puppets threaten funds to the state school. If you want to know why the full court press is on to change public opinion, look no further than that building downtown. That's where the pressure to continue this series is originating.

I think that they, religion masters, thought that a break in the series would send UTE fans scurrying to beg to resume the series. They miscalculated and instead saw UTE fans feeling just fine about it. So now, full court. They'll have Zoobs believing that we are the ones begging for this sham to continue. It's appalling.
"It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV

With UCLA's Week 3 matchup with the BYU Cougars less than a week away, Go Joe Bruin examines BYU's infamous reputation for playing dirty.

While funny, to be honest, I prefer when byu was losing games and everyone was talking about them being soft.
many go on their two-year missions, coming back older and married with children

Of all the moronic and reckless things you could do in this era of hypersensitivity to head trauma in football…I would pay a nickel to ask BYU linebacker Sione Takitaki what he possibly could have been thinking as he cracked down on Boise State quarterback Ryan Finley‘s head with his forearm.
This guy things that the QB's brain is located in his neck/sternum area? OK.

and from what I have seen and been told by Utah fans on our site, the BYU football team plays dirty.
Pardon me while I go talk to the USC fans to get an unbiased opinion of UCLA's players and coaches.

I wonder if they have reached out to Keith Van Horn? The amount in question seems to be right up his alley.

He is hopefully too busy trying to convince his good friend Hanno Mottola that he needs to encourage Lauri Markkanen to sign with the University of Utah.

Well apparently the video clips of BYU playing dirty was just too much for them to contain. I got an ear full yesterday at work. I've been told for many years that BYU fans are self righteous. I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Of course once the lid came off, they couldn't stop. BYU was lucky to win both of those games. They were outplayed 55% of each of the games, but won the games on two lucky throws. Hey, maybe they'll get lucky again at UCLA.
